Beautiful Log Cabin In the Lake Lure- close to Mirror Lake - WiFi by Sunscape Property Management

Dublin' Up is a wonderful log cabin situated on a beautifully wooded lot in a private section of Riverbend at Lake Lure. The quintessential log cabin, Dublin Up has all the charm and magic of that "'cabin in the woods" you've dreamed about. From the covered front porch, complete with rocking chairs, you enter into the Great Room with a gas log fireplace, followed by the dining room, and to the left a fully equipped kitchen. The open floor plan allows all of you to gather, talk, watch the game, or play cards or a board game at the table to truly enjoy each other's company. In case you need them, the home has 2 high chairs available for the little ones. Dublin Up has a guest bedroom with queen bed and full bath on the main level. Upstairs find the master suite with private full bath just off of the loft area. Use the loft area for reading and quiet moments for yourself or with family. The loft area also has a comfortable queen size sofa bed for extra sleeping. Downstairs in the lower level Daybed/Trundle and a futon couch in a spacious area on one side and there is the laundry area on the other. Bumper pool tournaments are fun or just learn how to play the game. There is also a full bath for guests. Dublin Up is a wonderful home at which to spend a few days or a month long vacation while you enjoy time away from your cares. This home is located in the gated community of Riverbend. Extended sleeping in the basement - trundle bed and a futon (sleeps up to 10).

NOTE: The cabin is located off Starling Rd (Bills Creek Rd) entrance and not the main Riverbend community entrance. The roads in Riverbend are packed gravel. A mandatory non-refundable damage insurance policy fee ($59-$79 depending on the coverage) is applied to each reservation. This is a dog-friendly home. A $100 pet fee (plus tax) will be applied to your reservation if you plan to bring a dog with you. No more than 2 dogs are allowed at this home. Pet Addenda must be signed. Dogs must be house trained. Sorry, no cats or other household pets are allowed. Guests are required to sign a Vacation Rental Agreement at the time of booking.


In the event of a cancellation by Tenant, the VRBO/HomeAway Strict Cancellation Policy will apply.

Labor Day Weekend- Perfect Last-Minute Getaway

Quiet relaxing weekend
Good location- quiet and relaxing. Close to Morse park; spent time buying pumpkins at the Pumpkin Patch and Apples at Coston. Visited Overmountain and Burntshirt wineries.

Early Apple trip
Property is well maintained and gated community gave us peace of mind to let the kids roam freely. Quite and peaceful, saw several deer and plenty of birds. Beach part of Lake looked wonderful, although we didn't use it. There were several different list of rules in welcome book, so we're a little unclear for what we were allowed to do in neighborhood. Pictures were slightly deceiving regarding downstairs sleeping arrangements. There isn't a separate closed off bedroom where the day bed is located. It's all open so we had to make some adjustments to our plans for rest. Also, use 1 shower at a time (there are 3 full bathrooms) if you want good water pressure.

Awesome family vacation at Dublin Up
Dublin Up was the perfect house for our bi-annual family vacation. The house was awesome, the Riverbend community with the beach, swimming hole, and nature trail was a favorite with the grandkids. The many outdoor adventures close by made our trip even more enjoyable. We rarely stayed inside, but even with the afternoon storms, the house provided room for a puzzle area in the loft and the kitchen table was large enough for family game nights. The agency was also exceptional with information and communication. We will be back!!

Great place for a get away.
Our family plus 2 puppies enjoyed our stay there and would definitely go back. Description was accurate. Very good for the dogs. Was in town for a wedding, so didn't get to enjoy everything like the bumper pool and outdoor fire area. Road from gate is all gravel and dusty. Cell reception was much better than we anticipated.

The good, the bad and the ugly LOL
The cabin is really big and lovely. We enjoyed the stay. It was raining at check out time. The cleaning crew arrived and were kind to wait for us about half an hour for us to exit as we were putting our stuff in our van in between the rain. Unfortunately, I had not received a message or a call prior to my arrival so we didn't know the address of the property and other detail. Thank goodness I started calling left and right to find the number to Coldwell and an angel gave me the number to the right person who with patience assisted us in getting to the property. Thank you again. We made it very, very late at night which inconvenienced both the manager and ourselves. We had received a confirmation number and cost for the charge via this application but no other information prior to our arrival and the message on VRBO said someone would be contacting us but we didn't get a call and didn't get an email either, although the person insisted that they had sent it and that it had been viewed by us which could not had been, otherwise we would not had been in a panick trying to get a hold of someone. Maybe the internet in the area we traveled to get there was not good. I don't know.... But the cabin and the time there made up for it and helped us distress. I would suggest that on the ad they write that the cabin has three floors because if people travel with elderly which was not our case there is only one bedroom on the first floor, the other bedroom is upstairs and they have a basement that can sleep more people. We were only 4 but if you have people with bad knees they would struggle going up the stairs to shower upstairs because 2 of the 3 bathroons have a tub only option and not a shower. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your property. We liked the security of Riverbend btw.

It was clean a little dusty but not bad. The water pressure wasn’t that great with taking showers but manageable. The house could use some minor updates like the tv. The quality and picture on the tv wasn’t too good. I honestly think the home needs internet. When people travel everyone’s cell service isn’t good and it would be nice to have WiFi to hook up to! But overall we had a good time

Quiet cozy getaway
It was exactly what we needed for the 4 of us. The location was not far from restaurants and hiking and other outdoor activities. There was plenty of room. Also room for kids as well. We loved the back porch as it was tucked into the woods. We would definitely stay again.

Mountains Lake Lure
We really enjoyed this house! Plenty of room, rustic setting, enjoyed the bumper pool! We should have read the manual more closely, didn’t realize all the amenities we could use in the neighborhood such as canoes, kayaks, and beach. We will definitely be back!!

Nice cabin and location - furniture could use updating
Nice cabin - kitchen was good size living space was small but upstairs and downstairs living area made up for it. Sofa in main living area needs cleaning or replaced (very dirty). Bedrooms are good size with spacious bathrooms. First level bathroom needs better/more lighting. Mattresses need updating. Loved front porch swing and rockers on back porch. Wish information about 1 trash bag; 1 roll of toilet tissue per bathroom was more prominent in information - had to go buy more - just not enough for 5 people. Overall a good home just needs updating.

The property is beautiful; the house was clean; it met the needs of 3 generations of our family
With this many people, we needed two house keys and two gate keys, since it's an unmanned gate. We had various activities in and out of the house and gate. We actually had to go back to the rental office twice to get these keys. And it's a small thing, but one large kitchen garbage bag is not sufficient for a whole week for all these people. I had to buy more large garbage bags and small garbage bags for the bathrooms.

Was a good property. Needs a little maintenance. Lower level back porch needs cleaning. Some general updating. Parking was kind of tricky with a full sized truck.Otherwise it was a wonderful weekend. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will probably stay there again.
