Whether you are looking for a couple's getaway or a family/friends gathering, as soon as you walk into this beautiful luxury log cabin, you will feel at home. Tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings, fully equipped kitchen, and spacious bedrooms, The Sanctuary offers the comfort and privacy you need for a relaxing vacation. The rocking chairs and swing on the front porch welcome you into this gorgeous home. Antique collectibles and artifacts around the cabin add to the luxurious rustic mountain style. Enjoy the beautiful mountain views on the lower level patio or while enjoying a beverage on the screened porch. The cabin offers three bedrooms - master suite with a King size bed is located upstairs and features a spacious bathroom with a separate shower and tub. There are two additional bedrooms on the main level - one with a king and the other with a queen bed along with a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. Two bunk beds offer additional sleeping in the basement which is equipped with games, books, movies, and comfortable seating. The fully equipped kitchen opens to the dining and living space which provides a great opportunity to spend time with loved ones while preparing a meal. The spacious walk-in pantry is combined with the laundry room and is stocked with additional kitchen tools and supplies. A propane gas grill on the back porch awaits the grill master. Soak away all the stress and relax in the newly installed hot tub.

Located just a short drive to Downtown Hendersonville, Chimney Rock, beautiful Lake Lure, and artistic Asheville, The Sanctuary is a great spot for those who want to experience all the mountains have to offer.

Over all very nice cabin. But hot tub water was not clear enough that we felt comfortable getting in and no chlorine smell. Last 2 days of our stay water pressure was down to a small stream of water.

Fabulous and spacious cabin with great views

Cabin was larger and nicer than it looks in pictures - it was extremely clean and had tons of kitchen pots/pans/utensils and even casserole dishes and other baking items which was a nice surprise. The hot tub was lovely and private and the views were nice (through the trees). It was super quiet and peaceful. Only slight negative was that the drive to town (Hendersonville or a grocery store) was about 15-20 min of curvy roads so just prepare and plan ahead. We also were unable to get the fireplace to work but pretty sure it was operator error (the heat worked well and we were very comfortable). This was a great cabin and had plenty of room for adults and kids - highly recommend it!

Fall Get Away

The spacious , beautiful log cabin was special .. very peaceful ! It was well stocked and tastefully decorated . It turned quite cold while we were there and the gas fire place was very cozy ! We would have enjoyed some cozy throws or extra blankets . We didn’t realize it took 30 minutes to get to a grocery store . Coming from Fl. The road up seemed a little treacherous. All in all we really enjoyed our time in the cabin !!

Very nice.

Very nice! Everything was as stated. Very clean, well decorated, full kitchen with everything you need. The only thing that didn’t work was the washing machine. It turned on but that was it. I’d stay again.

Clean and Ready

Brought my family up for the weekend. Great location to easily access Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Hendersonville and Ashville. Cabin had everything to make our stay comfortable. Only complaint was the master suite bed was too soft. But I like a firm mattress which not everyone does. Thanks for having the hot tub ready to go and the grill worked perfectly!

Beautiful property

We loved this cabin. Everything was perfect. Clean, well furnished with beautiful furniture, art work and nice touches that clearly show it is a well loved home. The driveway was a bit nerve wracking the first time but then it was fine. The weather was colder than expected so we stayed in much more than we would have. We enjoyed the hot tub and movie selection and excellent WiFi.

A True Sanctuary!

The Sanctuary was one of the most beautiful mountain escapes we could have imagined. The pictures and summary on VRBO were spot on, and all of the reviews helped us decide on this home. It was even larger than expected and had so many special touches that made it homey. The hot tub was fabulous! Our only disappointment was that the fireplace did not work and when we called, we were told that the pilot light must have been out. Other than that, we all highly recommend the Sanctuary.

Amazing!!

Everything about this trip was amazing. Beautiful views, cabin was well equipped, very clean, great amenities. Only one thing is the beds. If they put some memory foam toppers on the mattresses upstairs then Everything would have been perfect. Only other negative was that I wish we had time to stay another day. Lol. Perfect decompress weekend that we all needed. Would definitely rent this cabin again!

Hidden Getaway

Beautiful home with everything thought of. The two main floor bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bath, which wasn't clear in the description. upstairs master was comfortable, but the shower was a little on the small side. Basement was very well done and the hot tub was fantastic. The driveway is very steep and some areas are blind due to steep hills.

Gathering of Old Friends

The Sanctuary was very clean and appealing. We simply enjoyed being in the cozy cabin, catching up with each other, relaxing, eating, playing games, laughing, praying together. Everything was great, except that we found the furniture in the main living area not very comfortable. The sofa was too deep; we had to add pillows in order to sit comfortably. Also, we were disappointed that the TV's did not get all the football games we wanted to watch, at least we couldn't figure out how to get some stations (the SEC channel, for example). As far as we could tell, the downstairs large TV was for games and movies. We could have used more instructions on the electronics! Other than that, everything was fine, and we very much enjoyed our time at The Sanctuary.

Serene surroundings and a cool winery!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Sanctuary. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the large screen porch for morning coffee and afternoon happy hours. Two of the members of our group (we had a total of 5 adults) felt that their beds needed upgrading. With sleeping on 3 floors, it was a little hard to regulate the temperature to a level that was comfortable for everyone. It was about a 25 minute drive to downtown Hendersonville, and 20 minutes to groceries. There is a nice winery (Point Lookout) nearby, on a ridge with wonderful views, that we visited on a Sunday afternoon. There was live music, dancing, and covered seating inside and outside. We highly recommend staying at the Sanctuary and visiting Point Lookout.

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was a perfect place for our family stay. We were a little bummed the fireplace couldn’t be used in April still cold in the mountains, but otherwise it was perfect. We would come again.
