Cosy apartment with country views. A short walk to the town centre.
Unit 2 is a light and airy space sleeping up to 4 people in country cottage style. The upstairs bedroom features sweeping views over farmland to the Western Tiers and Poatina. There is also a single bed in the downstairs kitchen/dining area with breathtaking views out through the orchard to the mountains. Relax in the country style lounge room while you watch the horses frolicking in the next door paddock. Around dusk you might even spot our 2 pairs of hares in the garden.
At Briar Lane we offer the original homestead as well as a second house that has been converted into two accommodation units. Situated between the two houses is our art gallery and workshop space, which is not generally opened to the public, but is utilised weekly by local groups to run art classes. All guests are welcome to share and enjoy the extensive gardens. Fire up the barbecue for a relaxed dinner, hide away in the summer house with a good book, or watch the sun set over the western tears from the old orchard.
Your hosts are Peter and Susan Waddle. We are usually on site during the day to greet you on arrival, and you will see us moving about the grounds as we go about the business of running the property and tending to the gardens. We utilise the front room of the old house as our HQ and reception, but this is locked off from the rest of Briar Lane House and we do not intrude into your space at any time.

Amazing little cottage with so many extras
The noise from upstairs next door was a bit loud while trying to sleep, but overall a very nice cottage and close to the airport
A lovely quiet spot just on the edge of the village. Close enough to attractions for a nice drive. The cottage had very good heating that worked well during the cold nights.
Lovely country property in the town of Evandale. We especially liked the homemade bread and jams that were a surprise bonus. Rooms were well appointed.Stairs could be a bit challenging if you are elderly. Overall highly recommended.
