Cute Rustic Getaway

Our stay was very relaxing. Just what was needed to get away from jobs etc...Easy check-in. The rooms are small but cute. Bring slippers, the floors are very cold, may be ok for summer stays. Little worried about the front steps and deck. Because of our spring stay, quite rainy and this makes the wood steps very slippery. Would be a hazard for the elderly. All in all very nice. Thank you, Michelle.

Fishing trip

Was a great place for our group to stay. Had everything the four of us need, nice beds with warm blankets. We were only a short drive from coffee and fish area. Would highly recommend.

Why they chose this property

Youbou is a spectacular nature-lovers' paradise. This cottage is in a perfect location that allows you to walk to all the main amenities it has to offer. The waterfront lot has a nice grassy area for your kids to run around on and you will be able to sit on the back deck with a glass of wine or tea and enjoy an amazing sunset in the summer and go mountain biking, mushroom picking, fishing, enjoy local wineries in other seasons.

What makes this property unique

Youbou is home to free-ranging Elk. You will likely see them wander by or even wake up to them in the backyard. Please do not try to pet them or get very close to them.

Youbou is a good base to try out the many hiking and biking trails and wineries nearby. River access at Lake Cowichan is about a 10 minute drive away if you want to try tubing or fly fishing. You can also fish in the lake.
