Walla Walla Gem - Peaceful, Private and a Perfect Central Location

Vacation in a lovingly remodeled home with an open floor plan and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen. Dining in? Enjoy a breakfast nook, dining table which seats 6, or sit at the eating bar. The three bedrooms each have en-suite bathrooms and there is an additional guest bath on the main floor. Luxuriate in the king bed in first floor master bedroom, or indulge yourself in one of the two queen bedrooms upstairs. Entertainment amenities include a Smart TV with Netflix and Pandora, WI-FI and 100+ cable channels, games and books. The inviting deck in back yard will draw you outside to enjoy the beautiful spring weather. Two off-street parking spaces are provided and a laundry room is conveniently located on the first floor for your use.

Stroll 4 blocks to the closest wine tasting room and restaurants, coffee and shopping can be found only 4-5 blocks away in the center of town. The Walla Walla Gem is within walking distance to a grocery store, the Marcus Whitman Conference Center and Jefferson Park. A vigorous walk will bring you to Whitman College and it is only a short drive to the Walla Walla University campus.

Wonderful House

We had an amazing stay! The house was beautiful and comfortable. I'm not sure if it was recently renovated, but everything was in excellent condition. The bathrooms were immaculate. It was walking distance to Downtown. We had everything we needed except for food. The beds were very comfortable. It was nice to sit by the fire pit at the end of the evening. The hosts were communicative and gave clear instructions. We had such a wonderful time and hope to be able to come back again soon.

Great quiet spot in an older part of town. 5 blocks from the center of town. A convenient base to operate from for those groups with diverse interests. Walking to and from restaurants and the farmer's market in the city center made for a wonderful experience.

It is a "Gem"

My girlfriends and I thoroughly enjoyed our short but sweet stay here. We felt like we were in someone's home rather than just a rental. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there with many pots, pans and dishware. All three beds were very comfortable and each room was cozy. My only note would be the heavy use of air fresheners. If someone is sensitive to scents, this could be a concern. Although we do not have sensitivities, we did unplug them and placed them back in when we left. I definitly recommend this little gem and hope we can return in the near future.

Walla Walla wine tasting

Walla Walla Gem is truly that. From the location and proximity to downtown restaurants and shopping to the well equipped kitchen and fabulously comfy beds, the house has it all. Had we known how complete the kitchen was, we would have chosen to dine in more. The weather was fantastic and the back yard is a great spot to relax and sip on wine. We were so busy we didn't have time to do that either. Next visit will include the Walla Walla Gem with more time spent at this property

FANTASTIC!

A Gem of a Place

"Walla Walla Gem" is not a misnomer! The house really is a gem. It was clean, and the kitchen was stocked with everything one could possibly need. It was nice that the three bedrooms all had en suite facilities. My wife and I stayed there with four relatives and I didn't hear any negative comments. I would definitely stay there again!

The Gem is a True Gem

Fantastic place, each of the three, en suite rooms. Well appointed kitchen, patio in back great place for BBQ and evening gathering. We've been coming to the GEM for six years and look forward to more visits. Quick walk to town, convenient parking and an excel host.

golf and wine week

Beautifuly remodeled home in a quite neighborhood close to the downtown shopes, wine tasteings and restaurants. The house was fully equipped with anything you could possible need, even a lovely BBQ and fire pit area. If you are going to Walla Walla this is the place to stay. Clean, Quite and relaxing. Truly is a gem

This house was perfect for 3 couples. With each bedroom having a fully equipped bathroom and good sound proofing, you could have your privacy along with nice gathering spaces on the ground floor. There is a ground floor bedroom if some can't handle the stairs, they have a place to stay. The kitchen is fully equipped. This is a great place for a short stay or would also be good for a month stay. Loved the backyard, so much in a small space. The two back parking spaces were convenient. This was an excellent place to stay and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Gem of a house close to downtown

We were 4 friends who needed a getaway and are so glad we chose Vicki's house. She was very easy to work with and answered all questions promptly. Check in was seamless. The house was immaculately clean and kept a great temperature during the hot summer days. The fact that every single room has their own bathroom was amazing! She has a cabinet of games which we enjoyed playing when we got back from dinner. Downtown was extremely walkable and took 5-12 minutes to walk depending on the area. We would 100% stay here again!

Walla Walla Getaway

The is the second time we have stayed at this property. The house is extremely well maintained and accommodates three couples nicely. The location is walking distance to downtown. We generally cook dinner a few times during our stay and appreciate that there is an abundance of cookware, appliances and dishes to handle whatever we are preparing. The owners were available to answer our questions. We will book this property next time we come if it's available.

Fantastic home and location in Walla Walla

We couldn't recommend staying at the Walla Walla Gem House more. The home is very spacious (it was more than enough room for our group of 4), well stocked and maintained, and only a few blocks from the town's core center of restaurants, shops, and wineries. 10/10 recommend!

Robert and I lived in the Willamette Valley for decades, but love to travel and seek warm weather. Our travels brought us to Walla Walla and we decided it was a great destination. We have children and grandchildren in the area. We enjoy family time and water sports in the Columbia River and snow sports at Bluewood Ski Resort.

Why they chose this property

We purchased the Walla Walla Gem in January of 2017. We were charmed by beautiful historic buildings, tree lined streets and vitality in Walla Walla. We also enjoy the Central Washington weather. In addition to the wineries, there are many cultural, music and community events to enjoy. We love the energy created by having Whitman College and Walla Walla University in the community.

What makes this property unique

We were delighted by the recent renovation of the home. The early 1900's charm is still visible, with modern updates in all areas of the home. You can look forward to enjoying the warm weather on the back deck or sitting on the front porch with a cup of coffee. The first floor has an open floor plan, so you can visit with friends while cooking in the well equipped kitchen. The close proximity to downtown is also a big advantage, as you can park your car and walk to shop or for breakfast or wine tasting. The home has a walkability rating of 85.
