About this property
A Flagstaff Gardens Favourite
Enjoying views of Flagstaff Gardens and the surrounding cityscape, this super spacious 2 bedroom 13th floor apartment gives you an urban edge with parkside serenity. Versatile for couples wanting a space to work remotely, or families with children or friends sleeping on sofa beds, this modern apartment has a fully equipped granite kitchen, a mod grass balcony to sit and admire the view, free secure parking and an unbeatable location, metres to the Queen Victoria Market and amazing cafes.
Originally called ‘Dynasty Melbourne’ and renamed to the more suitable ‘The Istana’ (Malay for ‘Palace’), the design of this building is reflective of an urban palace designed by CK Architecture. Like a hotel, you have access to the sublime indoor 15m lap pool, melt-away in the relaxing spa and sauna, or do your morning workout in the well-equipped gymnasium. There is also an on-site movie theatre (requires booking). The lift takes you to the 13th floor where you will find each door is a symbol of abundance and good fortune. Inside, you’ll be surprised about the generosity, warm neutral tones and quality with its Black Butt floors in the open plan living and dining space with its modular sofa bed couch overlooking the 60 inch smart TV, the versatility of the dining table with its choice of bench seats, dining chairs or stools (all easily to slide around with felt feet) and the luxury finishes of the granite kitchen with its family size fridge, Smeg appliances, dishwasher, air fryer, rice cooker, kettle, toaster and plenty of kitchenware to cook your own meals. The balcony takes in the views of the leafiness of Flagstaff Gardens, and you can sit on the benches with an evening beverage or your morning coffee breathing in the magnificence of Melbourne. The main bedroom has its own balcony, fully fitted robes, an ethernet point and a side space to put your luggage. There is also our lovable ‘Dolce’ the oversized soft toy dog for you to cuddle or play with during your stay. The second bedroom gives you flexibility with its dedicated workstation (monitor), a double sofa bed, built in robes and a full length mirror for when you need to dress up for a special event. The vogue bathroom has innovative storage and features a shower with both waterfall shower head and hand-held shower, a stylish vanity with large mirror and a toilet, while the European laundry is part of the living space with its top-loader washing machine and trough. The apartment is quiet and light behind double glazed windows, and the air conditioning looks after the whole apartment for all-year found comfort. Secure parking is on the 4th floor and is situated right opposite the lift for easy access.
Guests have access to the whole apartment, the lifts, the beautiful foyer, Level 4 for parking and the pool, sauna, spa and gymnasium on Level 5. Please be mindful of other residents during your stay. The Concierge is not part of your stay.
