This 2.5-acre property offers a perfect blend of seclusion and accessibility, ideally situated between Taos and Taos Ski Valley. Our charming retreat promises the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, ensuring an unforgettable stay.
This tranquil haven boasts stunning mountain views, privacy, and comfort. Hand-carved wood pillars throughout the home embody the unique enchantment of Taos, New Mexico. Enjoy your morning coffee on our east-facing balcony, where mountains, hummingbirds, and the occasional rainbow can be seen. Just steps from the back door, you’ll find our standalone hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a day of skiing or stargazing at night. Our large fire pit, tucked away among the pines and illuminated by solar-powered pathway lights, is perfect for warming up, roasting marshmallows, or listening to the Taos hum. Cook using our fire pit grill, or choose from a propane grill, charcoal grill, or smoker provided with your stay. We can't wait to share our slice of heaven with you and hope it becomes your new happy place.

Access to our vacation home is a 2 mile dirt road (Gallina Canyon Road). During snowy conditions, a 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. The road is regularly plowed during snow events as well as graded multiple times a year to ensure accessibility.

Very nice, secluded home

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa in the Canyon. The roads are not the best, but we made it fine in a suburban. We enjoyed the privacy and the host was very helpful. He responded every time we called and his wife even came out to get the internet working late one afternoon. They were both so helpful and really nice people. The views of the mountains are beautiful and it's only a short drive to Taos and surrounding areas. We would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to visit the Taos area.

Family Vacation

Beautiful Home-well stocked-balcony a fav. Prompt responses with host. Nice hottub! Areas of improvement-we arrived at check in time with no service. We did not receive ck in & WiFi codes or directions for better road prior to ck in time. Host did send at CK in time but we had no service until connected to their wifi. Thankfully guests next door assisted to get in contact with our host. Yard overgrown with weeds. Fire pit had stuff piled on it so no s'mores. Hot water heater was on vacation & we figured that out day 3 (didn't want to bother host at late hrs). Overall Fantastic Large/Roomy with BEAUTIFUL interior & we didn't have to do linens or trash at CK out!! Great Hosts!
