Beverly Beach Overlook - Oregon Beach Vacations

Beverly Beach Overlook is a three level home that sits high on a bluff overlooking Beverly Beach. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of some whales or a cruise ship. This vacation home is located at the very north end of Newport, near the Beverly Beach State Park exit. This vacation home has three bedrooms: two king beds, and one with two twin beds; three bathrooms, one with a shower, and two tub-shower combos. This luxurious vacation rental has room for Six guests and up to two dogs. The main living space includes the living room, kitchen and dining room and is located above the garage. There is a large ocean view bedroom on this main level with a king bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with high-end appliances for the perfect family gathering or holiday dinner. Upstairs you will find the primary room with a 180 degree ocean view and an adorable bedroom with a twin bed. There are blackout curtains in all of the bedrooms in case you want to sleep in while at your home away from home. This vacation rental has sweeping ocean views from every room in the home, a wood fireplace for those chilly nights, a recreation room for the kids and the kids at heart, and an enclosed deck for everyone to hang out on and enjoy some fresh air. Each bedroom contains a flat screen TV, plus additional TV's in the living room, recreation room and loft. This home offers Wi-Fi, an iPod docking station, CD players, radio, a DVD collection, games, books, and very comfortable furnishings. The loft is a cozy TV viewing space with two recliners and a sofa sleeper. The recreation room is on the lower level of the home. Beach access is a short five to seven minute walk down to Beverly Beach State Park and is accessible under Hwy 101 so there are no worries about having to cross the busy roadway with children. Newport Oregon/Beverly Beach Gem
This home feels like a true escape to the beach. It has everything you could need, and offers a wonderful walk to a nearby State Beach. It's a short hop into Newport fo lunch, dinner, an aquarium or lighthouse visit etc. Super and all of the planning was easy and convenient.. right down to the personalized door code!

Dog friendly house with incredible views and lots of character. The state park is currently closed for construction but when it opens up again it will be walking distance to the beach. Easy drive to Newport.

Enjoying retirement
We came to the ocean for storms and we were not disappointed. The views from this house were incredible. Almost every room had a view. We would recommend this home to anyone who wants serenity.

My family loved this house. My kids had a great time playing pool. The house being three levels was lovely so kids could get space from each other when needed. House was very clean. View was spectacular. Walk to Beverly Beach was easy.

House itself was great with a fully stocked kitchen and was very clean. My issue (and why I gave it 3/5 stars) is with the deception of it being beachfront property. It is absolutely NOT. Property pictures were taken at just the right angles to where you can’t see the entire HIGHWAY that is in between the house and the beach. You need to walk a solid 15-20 mins and cross two main roads to get to the beach. Not a great walk if you have small children or anyone with mobility issues. We were willing to pay the steep nightly rate for the beachfront reason, and that’s the one thing I didn’t get. Had the property description/pictures accurately depicted the distance to the beach and the price reflected that, it would have been perfect. Unfortunately, I feel like I got duped, and for the price we paid we could have *actually* gotten a house closer to the beach.

Absolutely wonderful!
We have rented houses on the Oregon Coast for over 20 years now and this was one of the very best. We have never had a better view and the house itself was lovely. Tons of space, beautifully decorated and it had everything we needed for cooking and relaxation. It really helped to have warm, sunny days while we were there. The location was perfect as well. Close to Newport, Depot Bay and Lincoln City but it felt like we were worlds away from the hustle of the larger beach cities. The only thing I would consider if you are thinking of renting this house is if there are any mobility issues with your group. There are a lot of stairs. We were fine but our older dogs couldn’t use the stairs and had to stay in the lower level. We often have our parents along with us and I know my father would not do well on the stairs.

Great view but NOT for young families OR worth the extra cost.
Let's start by saying the view was nice and the game room on the third level was great. However, I was surprised by the rest of our experience based on the description and other reviews. We chose to splurge and spend extra on this location instead of choosing a nice house that was half the cost. We were sorely disappointed in a few areas. First, the "short" walk to the beach is not as short as it seems and it is not a good walk for young kids. The photos make it look like the beach is close and it is NOT. You have to walk down to the state park and cross over there to get to the beach. The road you take does not have a good walking path especially when you are walking with two young kids (we thought it was closer and safe to walk there). Next, the "well stocked" kitchen everyone mentioned is NOT as well stocked, as I had to purchase basic measuring cups and a few other items that were not in the kitchen. Also, the pans are very well used and need to be replaced as the teflon is coming off. Don't expect to be able to grill because the "shotty so to speak of" grill is not useful and is small. You might be able to cook about 4 hot dogs on it and that is about it. It is also a charcoal grill and not gas. The house was not spotless or clean as we read in other reviews, there was dog hair in many spots that ended up in our food, and left over dog food under the couches, the shower curtain liners need to be replaced or cleaned better. The carpeted areas need to be shampooed or replaced as they are dingy and not very clean. For the cleaning fee we have to pay I and based on the reviews, again I expected better. The outside door knobs should be replaced, the outside faucet to rinse your feet off and other items from the beach does not work and needs to be fixed. The septic system, according to them, does not work well, so not only can you not use the big soaker tub, they ask you to space out your showers and not take any baths (which is difficult with young kids). The wifi did not work and there is not good cell reception either. To top it off the one day we had planned to stay at the house and play board games and enjoy the view was ruined by construction noise/gravel trucks etc. at the house next door. So for the extra cost we paid we thought we were getting extra nice things and ended up not being the case. We are very disappointed and feel bummed we spent the extra money.

Did have the share the bathroom next to the master suite with the 2 guys but everyone was chill about this. Also have to organize your showers due to some plumbing issues. Kitchen was nicely stocked and we made lovely seafood dinners every night. Played games at the table, did yoga in the living room and even was able to set up my bike trainer in the game room. Very comfortable beds and linens.

The views and sounds of the ocean are wonderful. Because this is high up on a cliff we had no issue with HWY 101 beneath us. We did opt to take a short less than 5 minute car ride to Beverly Beach instead of walk. There is some altitude change (and rain) that we felt were best suited to driving. We love the beach in the Fall and Winter and boy it did not disappoint. Strong winds and rain left us without internet for a few days but the management company was quick to respond...even sending someone to the house. We all know that is a possibility during this time of year but we were prepared with so many board games and puzzles! During our stay we were able to enjoy our favorite places such as Local Ocean for great drinks and seafood, walking the beautiful harbor and checking out South Beach. I would recommend this property to others and hope to return as well.

The master bed is so awful that I woke with debilitating back pain that incapacitated me for 2 days. I slept on a twin bed the rest of the time which was decent. I would love to come back to this home if the bed is replaced. The jetted tub DOESN'T work. Please change the listing. Otherwise, the ocean views and the house are beautiful. The ocean lulls one to sleep. Blackout blinds work great. The walk to Beverly Beach is 5-10 mins and is gorgeous. Location can't be beat! I beg of you to update your mattress. If so, I would come back in a jiffy.

Pros: great location, beautiful views, nice dishes & silverware (Dansk), quality appliances (Viking). Cons: this place is filthy - and I mean gross, filthy, needs a major deep clean. This home needs to be removed from the VRBO website and get a deep, deep clean. The kitchen cabinets (both inside and outside) haven't been cleaned in ages...grease, dirt, unknown liquid drippings - bleh. The floors were dirty, dust bunnies everywhere...I don't think the floor behind the master bed has ever been cleaned or vacuumed. Found leftover 'remnants' from previous tenants behind the nightstand. The tv remotes were disgusting...gunk embedded in them. I cleaned them thoroughly, so now, at least something is clean in that house. Until this house is cleaned, from top to bottom, I would not recommend staying there.

In the case of this home, pet are welcome but they are not allowed on the top floor of the house where the master bedroom and twin beds are. The pull out couch is in dire need of a new mattress or a topper. The Jetted tub was out of order due to the house having a septic issue. This would have been good to know before renting along with no pets on the top floor. The stove top had issues cooking on some burners, took a long time to make bacon or boil water. Oven worked nice with our pizzas. Great location to beach and plenty of walking options. Nice pet blankets and seating. Table is a bar height type of seating, so not the best for our weekend board gaming desires. Gets a bit stuffy with no A/C or ceiling fans in the main floor with the kitchen. Overall was a nice vacation house.

Having said that, the fact that this place has a spendy cleaning fee and it is a pretty expensive rental property I was not happy with the fact that the property was dirty. You could tell that it hadn’t been swept, vacuumed and that the counters & kitchen table had not been wiped down. Upon arrival my husband and I started cleaning. We vacuumed the couches, swept the floors and wiped down counters and kitchen table. Plus the main garbage can was full. We had to leave garbage on the kitchen counter since we had no place to put it.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved that this had a spectacular view of the beach and the location made it ideal for going North or South on the coast. We found the overall condition of the house clean and orderly. Here is the "but" part, though. . .We had to go and buy an air mattress because there were only enough beds for 6 when it was advertized for 8. If any of the couches made into beds we would have been satisfied. The septic situation was also a problem and we all took way less showers to conserve. That being said, we enjoyed our short stay and will plan another trip for the Coast.
