INCLUDES: Kayaks, Snorkel gear,Beach chairs,cooler, Beach/snorkel guidebooks!

Part of an oceanfront estate with three small cottages, Turtle Tale is located by the water, overlooking Bottom Harbour and Harbour Island. Turtle Tale is a newly built "tiny-cottage" with backup generator, A/C, high ceilings, king sized bed, separate bathroom w/ shower, kitchen, and a shady porch. Gaze at the turtles in the harbour and think of the Turtle Tales you will tell for years to come!

More than two guests? Inquire to rent the next door sister cottage "Turtle Peek" as well!

Islander Estate, with three small waterfront cottages "Tiny Cottages" is located near the end of a bumpy dirt road, about fifteen minutes off of the main “Queens Highway” on Whale Point, North Eleuthera. It is directly on the water, and overlooks the uncountable blues of Bottom Habour, Whale Point Ocean inlet, and Harbour Island. Secluded without being isolated, guests are offered privacy while also being in a small, safe community with friendly neighbors.

Staying in Islander Turtle Tale, you wake up to spectacular views over the azure waters of Bottom Harbour and Harbour Island right from your bed. Brew some coffee and cook a light breakfast and enjoy it on the shady porch while you watch the numerous sea turtles peek at you from the harbour.

Use the steps to enter the water for a morning swim or snorkel via the tiny little pink sandy area. Dry off in the sun, swinging gently in the waterfront hammock hung lazily between two large palms.

Listen to the waves and daydream about where a day in paradise will take you. Will you take a six minute stroll to Bottom Harbour Beach Reserve to walk the long stretch of pink sand, searching for shells? Will you take a water taxi ride to Harbour Island for a day of shopping and island-style casual fine dining? Will you make the short drive to the glass window bridge, saphire blue hole, or preachers cave? Maybe a short drive to Gregory Town, or Spanish Wells to enjoy local culture, shopping and dining (and hopefully stop at a beach or two along the way)?

***PLEASE READ*** Eleuthera, and Islander, is a beautiful and natural getaway - There are birds, bugs, and other things in this natural setting. We are on rainwater collection so ask that guests conserve water. Electricity on the island goes out from time to time (we will start and use the generator when required). There are some unguarded drop-offs, so for their safety, no young children are allowed. Thank you and we look forward to having you as guests =)

This place is AMAZING!!!
The worst part about this place is the road leading to it. BUT it is SO worth the rutted sand road, (get an older rental and you won't feel bad or be held accountable for the state you return the vehicle, it will be dirty) Turtle Tale is Adorable, Sunsets Devine, Stars so bright, and the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks So relaxing and sleep inducing. It is small and a tad cramped, but no more than a hotel room. And it has A Lot more going for it, (the porch is the best,) than Any hotel room. We didn't snorkel off the ramp, we didn't have time, but wish we did. The best beach, especially with kids is about 5 mins south across from Daddy Joe's restaurant (good food and drinks) Our host brought us a split coconut that was at the coconut bread stage for us to try. So good, (limit how much you have, or you will lose a day to the throne:) Being from the US, driving on the "Wrong side" of the road is a challenge, drive at your comfort level. There are not many "rules of the road, speed limits, or laws about open containers, drinks to go are the norm". The people are Friendly, polite, (so long as you are) We never felt like we didn't belong, or threatened. This island is an Eco tourist dream, NOT a jet setters' hangout. We would stay at Turtle Tale and revisit Eleuthera, in the future. Oh, and for an Amazing meal, go to the Front Porch Restaurant in Alice town. (right on the Queen's Highway, (Pricey but worth it)

Frickin Awesome!
First, VRBO messed up our confirmation. My app showed no upcoming trips, but the hosts Sonnie and Nadia confirmed right away. The place is remote - which is exactly what we wanted. But by “remote” I mean it was a ten minute drive up a decent gravel road. We cooked every meal in the place. This required a little creativity, but was totally doable and saved us a ton of cash. We were able to completely relax here. But - if you HAD to do it, the WiFi works great and there was reliable cell service. Look - if you want a friendly place to really sink into island life, this is for you. If you have two couples, get both places on the property. You’ll need to rent a car for this joint, but that was the kind of trip we were looking for. The hosts were fantastically communicative. We would absolutely stay here again.

Remote bliss
To anyone who wants to get away from it all and just have some wonderful downtime, look no further. My wife and I were immediately charmed by the quaint and adorable cottage. There is nothing better than to wake up with a cup of coffee and sit out on the terrace and count turtles. Don’t worry about the drive out to the place, you’ll make it eventually, and when you do, you will not be disappointed. The kindness of the host and hostess, Andre and Nadia, were by far the best we have ever experienced. Willing to go above and beyond what is expected. Make sure you bring a flexible willing attitude if you intend to go out and explore, and by all means rent a car with big tires and high clearance.
