Great location, great privacy.
Overall great property. The location was great, about 5-10 minutes from both downtown and the mountain (resort). 4 true bedrooms and another room with singles would be great for a family trip. The kitchen is not huge, but got the job done, and the location of the hot tub was great – uncovered so you could see the stars at night. Would definitely consider staying here again if we return.

We loved our stay. The layout of the cabin worked beautifully with 8 adults. The games room was fun and the hot tub was a highlight. The beds were comfortable and the location was perfect for what we were doing. I highly recommend staying here.

Great Mountain Cabin near to the ski resort
This was a great cabin for our ski vacation, plenty of room for our large group. The cabin is very near to the town as well as the ski resort so it was nice and convenient. Communication with property manager was easy and any issues were dealt with swiftly. I would definitely stay here again! A+

3 Families stayed here, 10 minutes to the lift's, 10-15 minutes to the town and restaurants and shops. The house has it all hot tub, space for activites etc..A few bathrooms could use updating but for a vacation house this has everytthing you want.

Multi generational family getaway.
The house is beautifully set in the forest of the Big Mountain. Management was responsive and did their best to accommodate a request for early check-in. We received the code by 3:15. A few air conditioners have been added which added greatly to our comfort level. Our only complaint was that the lower level was a bit damp and musty, to the point that mold appeared to be growing on the shower curtain in the lower level bathroom. The management company has said this will be addressed. We loved the location: only a few minutes drive up the mountain to the Whitefish Ski Resort where we rode the gondola to the top and only a few minutes to Whitefish and the private beach access which we also enjoyed. The outdoor pool is small but we had it to ourselves on the day we took the kids for a swim. We used the hot tub the last night and it was well maintained and clear.

Beautiful location
We loved our stay in Whitefish. It was a great location to do lots of various activities. The house fit our two families easily and the hot tub, air hockey and foosball table were a hit with our kids. The upstairs got pretty hot for the kids sleeping there but they installed a portable AC unit towards the end of our stay which will make that area a lot cooler.

Nice home but needs better attention by property manager
The home was clean when we arrived and communication with the property manager was good. However, I must warn of several things that concerned me. We stayed with our grown sons and their families. Unfortunately, our visit was during a very unusual heat wave, with highs around 99 to 101. We were supposed to check in at 4 pm. We had cranky young children and the cleaners were still cleaning the house at 4:10 pm, so we were frustrated. They knew we had requested an early check in. We were advised that towels were in the dryer, still drying. There were at least 3 - 4 times too many towels in the dryer, which had to be split up into separate loads to finish drying. I was very concerned that the towels had also been washed together, which told me that they were not clean, either. In addition, in their rush to clean the house, some of the sheets on the bed were still slightly damp. We had read prior reviews about burned out light bulbs and I addressed this prior to our visit. I was assured this would not be a problem. Sure enough, there were still burned out light bulbs in the bathrooms. We asked for light bulbs and box fans and got a quick response, which was appreciated, so communication was responsive. They brought 2 fans and we bought a 3rd which we gave away at the end of our stay. No add'l help was offered to help with the extreme heat of 101 degree days and no moving air in the house. The furniture is all nice furniture, however there other problems: 1) pillows were virtually flat and very uncomfortable 2) bed linens were a sheet, comforter and duvet - way too hot for summer sleeping 3) basement bath shower curtain had "stuff" on the inside that might have been a build-up of bath soap, shampoo or cream rinse that had never been cleaned off (about 1' square) that looked disgusting 4) no bathmats 5) deck should be "blown off" by blower to help keep tree droppings from being tracked into the house. The deck hadn't been blown or swept off in months; basement walk out patio furniture hadn't been cleaned or patio cleaned off in a year I bet; since staying inside the house was unbearable, we spent a lot of time outside on the deck. 6) We were asked (by text) twice if we could check out early so their cleaners could start early; particularly upsetting since they were late letting us check in. If the property management company would pay better attention to details, this property could receive A+ reviews and ratings.

Lovely Property
Overall, this was a really nice property. It is roomy with comfortable furniture. I loved the location and accessibility to a lot of activities. My only issue is probably related to the cleaning crew. I would not say that it was dirty - there were just little things like cobwebs in the windows, a dead moth on the window sill and towels still going in the dryer when we arrived. I would highly recommend this property but would also suggest that the owners seek a new cleaning company.

We visited Montana for my sons wedding. This home was perfect for our stay. The master suite was great, the bunk room was perfect for my grandsons, the kitchen had everything we needed and the hot tub was wonderful for the cold nights. I would highly recommend this beautiful home.

We enjoyed our stay here very much! We had plenty of space for a group of six ladies and very much enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace & outdoor patio on the sunny days we had. Great location - located just a 5 min drive from downtown and up the hill a bit that gave us the beautiful mountain cabin vibe on the patio and in the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again!

The short title really sums it up. This place wasn't cleaned before we arrived and management company (Whitefish Escapes) felt like it was good enough. Outside of fact that they and the property owners (who they blamed) were unwilling to let us re-book our stay for a future date/credit I am shocked they could pass this property to renters at all. They held us to every word of the 9 page agreement but then could not even have the place cleaned or the walkway cleared before we arrived. Cigarette butt and a half eaten pill on the night stand, egg covered pan put away as if clean, filthy towel left behind, water leaking from the vent in the downstairs bath, walkway from stairs to front door covered in snow/ice, door handle to the deck not functioning and past guest dirty clothing left behind. I wish I could post the photos on this review so any potential new renter can see the condition this property was passed to us in. When I brought these up again after the trip and asked for a refund on the cleaning fee they offered a 30% of the fee for cleaning. I guess they agreed it was not clean but thought a partial job was good enough. We were all grossed out by the property but more disappointed in Whitefish Escapes Management. If you are coming to Whitefish I would seriously avoid renting any property managed by them. Plenty of other options. We learned our lesson the hard way this time. Just to be clear, this review and rating have nothing to do with not being able to re-book for a future date or credit. Check Whitefish Escapes LLC on google reviews for the photos of how the property was passed to us.

Cleanliness concern
For the price of the cleaning fee we had higher expectations. The master shower has mold and did not drain properly (even after it thawed). There were many cobwebs throughout the house. The dishwasher was completely broken (we were notified just 30 minutes after we checked in). It must have been broken a while as the cabinet had numerous dirty dishes. Adding to this frustration was the fact that there was only one dishcloth and dish towel! Downstairs bath had less than 10 minutes of hot water. The house is nice, hot tub great, location fabulous - very disappointing in cleanliness - especially for the cost and admin fees.
