Just steps to downtown Southampton, Grosvenor Gables is a spacious 4 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom, tastefully updated, historic home, built in 1869 by the local blacksmith.

The main level has the entry/mudroom, so you can leave the sand at the door. Relax in the living room, enjoy preparing meals in the spacious, fully equipped, eat-in kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer closet. The master bedroom with a queen bed is located just inside the door. The main floor bath is sumptuous with a soaker tub and walk-in shower.

Ascend to the upper level on the original staircase and find three bedrooms and a powder room.

Sheets and bath towels are provided for this rental property.

The back yard has lots of room for fun and games. The deck features a BBQ and patio furniture for enjoying meals.

Walk less than a block to High Street. Head west to Lake Huron, the big flag, beach and concrete promenade from the Victorian era. Head east and enjoy a stroll along High Street to explore the many restaurants and shops.

Follow Grosvenor Street North to the Saugeen River mouth. Book your passage on the Peerless to tour Chantry Island. The island is a local bird sanctuary and home to an Imperial Tower Lighthouse, one of six built by John Brown along the shores of Lake Huron & Georgian Bay. Reservation prior to arrival is a good idea during high season as each tour only accepts 9 guests.
