About the host
Hosted by Paisanas
I'm a Latin American journalist who landed in Sydney 14 years ago and decided to find a spot in the country where to raise my children in a healthy environment. Half of our life is in the city and half in the country. It's been an amazing journey. We speak Spanish and English at home.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with Wisemans Ferry just by chance. I used to live 35 kilometres from here and one random Wednesday night, after seeing the sign "Wisemans Ferry" I decided to drive. It was 10 pm and arrived at a deserted town, crossed the ferry in my car and sat down on the other side of the river. Somehow this place called me, more than I chose it.
There are so many walks, lovely places to eat, there's a medical practice seven days a week, a petrol station, a post office, a beautiful park, a historical pub, just next to the breathtaking river and mountains.

What makes this property unique
The house was renovated by myself and my children during long weekends and endless nights. The guesthouse was refreshed and styled with my daughter's advice, who was only
9 years old when she started dreaming. She drew what she thought would look just pretty and welcoming, and she says she will be an architect. So we embarked in another journey of painting, decorating, finding special details and we proudly restored old furniture.
In Latin America, Paisanas means country women, particularly from Spain and Italy, who are part of our ancestors. You have beautiful views of the countryside from the deck, the living area and your bed. There's a hot bathtub, and a dinner table that you can transform into pool table or tennis table. There's wifi, Netflix and a turntable... there are some vinyls for you to enjoy, or you can bring your own. From our property you can walk to town in 10 minutes or you can explore the area.
