Quiet getaway

Great choice for an off peak season getaway. You are basically by yourself with the solitude of the hills and mountains that surround you. Perfect place if you like peace and quiet. Lots of wildlife roaming around and close to fishing and hunting on the bighorn. Great for our dogs too, appreciate the fenced in yard when letting them out at night. Hosts were very communicative and accommodating. Great place to stay when in bighorns.

Beautiful and Unique

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay. Amy was very responsive and helpful. She was very accommodating when my family from out of town wanted to arrive a day early. She helped my mother-in-law with directions and check-in. The location is so beautiful, with a quiet relaxed atmosphere. Our only neighbors were turkey, deer, and pheasant! It was also a great basecamp for flyfishing on the Big Horn River and pheasant hunting. I have stayed at several other VRBO's in Fort Smith and this is definitely my favorite.

Great cabin, peaceful with easy access to the river.

Great cabin, good communication with owners, just as described. Our group enjoyed the stay. Only challenge was the steps up to the cabin were a little tricky for a couple of our older family members.

Cozy Cabin

This is perfect, well managed lodging for a small group and the location overlooking the Ft Smith and the river valley is equally fine. We look forward to our next visit.

Great property and cabin.

Just enough out of the way to feel a bit isolated. That’s a positive. Some issues getting up the gravel road because of the snow. We had 4 wheel so we made it but a 2 wheel would have struggled. Highly recommend this rental

Charming Cabin

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at this charming cabin just outside of Ft. Smith. Everything was clean and tidy. We prepared all of our own meals and ate most of them outside on the picnic table. I personally loved sipping coffee on the front porch before everyone else woke up...just taking in the big sky and watching the animals. The marina up the road was great! We rented a pontoon boat and explored the Big Horn river...THAT was a hoot! Oh...and the air conditioning was greatly appreciated on a few of the hotter days. We hope to return someday!

Peace and Tranquility

This property far exceeded our expectations. We have used VRBO many many times, all around the world...so, we know the "range" that is possible. First, the instructions were simple and accurate. The price very much worth what we got in return. The place was clean, cute, and well-appointed. Everything worked, and man is the view nice! As for looks, we thought that the photos on this listing don't do this rental justice...it is far more cute and quaint, and in such an amazing spot on the globe! We can't wait to go back!

Peaceful Reconnection

I booked my clients at this cabin, for two nights, prior to their America’s national Parks Tour. It’s their 25th year Anniversary and they were amazed at the beauty, the sounds and the simple comfort. They hiked, they played cards on the deck, they watched as the cows lowed and crossed the hills...they reconnected. Perfect 10’s!

Mixed Feelings

The property was more or less as advertised. Clean and well stocked with trash bags, towels, etc. The property is located in a beautiful spot, classic Southwest Montana views. That said, the tv was difficult to navigate, we never could find live tv. The instructions for getting into the cabin, that I received from the manager, was totally wrong. 10 pm, in the middle of no where Montana, the lock box with the key not where the instructions said it was supposed to be. I called the manager's number and there was no answer. Texted the number, no response. After an hour of walking around the property looking for the lock box, I reached the manager. She directed me to the lock box and we were able to get into the property. While we were there it rained and we discover the roof had a leak. The ceiling in the mud room saged and a puddle formed on the floor. I don't know whether this is an owner issue, or a VRBO issue but I feel a large damage deposit, or the purchase of an insurance policy for the same, on top of the standard damage deposit, is onerous. It appears to be just another way to squeeze additional money out of the customer. If I am put in that position again I will stop using VRBO.

Location and solitude. Saw deer, elk and lots of cows. A great place!!!

Drawback: Air conditioner did not work. Hot. Really hot. A new window AC unit would really help. But all in all a fantastic getaway.
