The bathroom contains a generous sized shower, a vanity and a toilet.
There is a washing machine and basin in the laundry.

The cottage has bedding (doonas + pillows) but linen is NOT PROVIDED.

FIREWOOD:
Not provided. You can purchase this at any local service station.

PLEASE NOTE: 2% surcharge applies for all credit card transactions. There will be an additional charge (Service Fee) of $100.00 added on top of your total invoice balance due that may not appear within your original invoice.

Millar and Darby cottages are sister cabins. To book in conjunction, contact us for availability!

Guest Access:
You have access to the entire Cabin and the fenced yard.
You are sharing the space with the local wildlife and surrounding farms, so please leave your pets at home.

The Neighborhood:
Yanakie is the Gateway to Wilsons Prom, so what better location to host your holiday.
There is a General Store close by, a shell service station to fuel up, and a local lisenced Pizza hotspot to host you for a bite after a long day hiking. If you want a bit more selection, surrounding towns have pubs and wineries open for enjoyment!
Travel 30mins up the track to Foster, with the pub and cafes, or over to Fish Creek, which has the iconic Fishy hotel, Alison Lester store or Long John Pickles - a local favourite.
Grab a great bite from the Meeniyan Hotel, Trulli's pizzeria or the coffee shops as one of your stops on the way down South.
Wherever you find yourself in your travels in our area, there is lots to see. Your support to the local area is always well recieved!

Getting Around:
There is no public transport in the area so having a car is essential for your adventures!

Other Things to Note:
Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control.
Each property is on tank water and septic systems.

Please note: There will be a call out charge if we are called out after hours. Eg: Losing Keys.

Very dissapointed
If you are looking for a place to unwind after visiting the prom, this is not the place. When we turned up to the property, There was a dead bird next to the front door, cobwebs all throughout the house as we walked through it! A very big huntsman sitting on the window sill , a lot of dead flies all around the kitchen and around the house. A lot of spiders and dead insects in the shower. The door handle to the bathroom was broken. There was only less than 1 toilet roll available. Barely any soap left in the bathroom to wash our hands. The shower does not drain properly and is gross. All the dishes in the kitchen were not properly washed, and needed to be rewashed to be used. The outdoor furniture was so old and uncomfortable and had rusty nails sticking out of it and covered in cobwebs! The Queen bed was so hard and so uncomfortable that it's like sleeping on the ground. After hiking all day at the prom, we just wanted to put our feet up and sit on a comfy couch, both of which we couldnt do. Couches were hard and uncomfortable.Forget getting a good night sleep if its windy or raining, the tin roof was sooo noisy. And the wombat under the house was just as noisy. The place felt and looked like no one had been there in months!
Stayed 4 nights in Dec 2024
