Countless beautiful beaches close by, and delicious eateries to match. We’re conveniently located in the middle of an exceptionally attractive area with something for everyone. Experience being in a tiny home for your holiday and embrace it's tranquillity.
Our brand new tiny home completed in November of 2023 is both luxurious and practical, well kitted out to suit your needs. There is double glazing, a heat pump and air conditioning, so you’ll be warm and toasty in the winter and cool as a cucumber in the summer. We’ve got wifi, coffee machine that makes ice coffee too, washing machine and dryer, oh plus a beautiful view and a wonderful holiday vibe. Sheltered by a newly planted Tuffi hedge with palms close by, nature is on your doorstep. Open the ranch sliders to the gorgeous countryside and birdsong. Inside you’ll find simplicity at its finest - no space for clutter, only relaxation.
There is your own private parking space right next to The Tiny Abode during your stay and plenty of free roadside parking.
Specific rooms:
The bedroom is cosy and comfortable with a queen bed and two spacious wardrobes. All linen is provided, including beautiful Sheridan towels and flannels. The en-suite has a huge shower with a rain head and a laundry tactfully placed with a washing machine, dryer and iron for your convenience.
The open plan kitchen/living and dining is tastefully furnished and you’ll have everything you need to cook and enjoy a meal in. Coffee machine that makes iced coffee too, oven, stove and fridge/freezer, all provided. There is a sofa bed if needed for additional guests in the lounge - queen size width, and a dining table for 4.

For other essentials, there is a local bakery, two dairys, two chemists in Snells Beach and nearby supermarkets New World, Countdown and PaknSave 12 minutes away in Warkworth.
There is a fantastic selection of nearby
cafes and eateries providing delicious food and drinks. Snells Beach has the beautiful restaurant located at Brick Bay winery. This places is set in a stunning location with the restaurant looking onto a beautiful pond. Enjoy the sculpture trail afterafter lunch. This is a popular destination for weddings too. Charlie’s for ice cream and pizza. Enjoy Ravish for a tasty lunch. Or try the quaint little Parsley Cafe… the list goes on!
Don's Pizza in Snells Beach is a popular option, to enjoy on a nearby beach or in the comfortable setting of The Tiny Abode.
Matakana is a 10 minute drive away (9.3 kms) and a popular destination for its well known markets.
Stunning Omaha Beach with its white sand and beautiful scenic views of The Great and Little Barrier in the distance is a 5 minute drive from Matakana.

● Enjoy the cycle pathway from Matakana to Omaha and Point Wells.
● The MMK Matakana Market Kitchen on the waterfront, the Tuckshop and the Rusty Pelican.
● The Matakana village pub is worth a visit too.
● Try Ringawera for a real bakery experience, with fresh bread, croissants and coffee, as well as lunch bites and treats.
● The Matakana Country park, with its great play area for kids. Goats, Chickens and playground. The restaurant has delicious food and is popular for weddings. The Cafe there has a good selection of food and hot drinks.
●The very popular Saturday Village Markets are highly recommended with the delicious local handmade and organic produce on offer.
The Mount Tamahunga trail is a breathtaking walk overlooking Big Omaha high in the hills. Matakana river tours, Morris and James Pottery, Ti point and Tawharanui Regional park.
Warkworth is also 10 minutes away and you’ll find more things to do there

Whether your trip is for relaxation, retreat or adventure. The Tiny Abode and the area surrounding has everything you'll need. This area is a popular hub of tourist excitement. There are indoor and outdoor activities to enjoy - from snorkelling at Goat Island to visiting the Action Matakana where there is target shooting, archery and obstacle courses. Leigh with its popular snorkelling at Goat Island is well worth a visit.
