What a beautiful property! If you are looking for seclusion, privacy, and relaxation this is your place! We did have an issue with the bathroom sink leaking, and we were told a plumber was coming, but never showed up. Good help is hard to find, I guess, so we were unable to use the bathroom sink for our entire stay, which was annoying. Aside from that, just be aware there is no air conditioning at the cabin, and only one window fan, as well as a ceiling fan in the living room. A couple of the nights were unbearably hot! Overall, our stay was enjoyable, and we had a great time. The available kayaks and canoe's were also an added bonus! Note: beware when you flip the kayaks over, the second time we used them, there were TWO snakes inside the blue kayak! Makes for a funny story now, but had I not seen them and been out on the water when I discovered them, it would have been a much different story! (Ie. Heart attack!). The place is clean, and decently well stocked. Cell service is basically non-existent so don't expect to use your phone, and there is no wi-fi. They say there is wi-fi at the garage, but its 1.5 miles from the house, so you can't connect to it unless sitting in your car next to it. Marijo is very responsive to texts/e-mails (when you can send them!), and Dean is very nice, he came to the house one day to let us know he put the generator on to make sure we had power (it was a rainy day and the house is 100% solar). One last comment is that we found the area to be fairly sparse of restaurants/attractions etc., and if you are visiting to go to Bar Harbor/Acadia as we were, its a bit too long of a drive (45 minutes) to do everyday. Thanks to Marijo and Dean for sharing their place with us, we enjoyed it!
