About this property

Acacia Bay Lodge: Lakeview & Private Garden View Manor in Taupo

A private manor, Acacia Bay Lodge, is located on the gentle slope of the lakefront hill of Acacia Bay. The remote mountains on the other side of the lake serve as a backdrop, offering views of a corner of the town and the great lake!

The garden has been carefully managed for nearly 40 years. The four seasons in the garden are very different, with flowers, trees, birds, and insects each enhancing the beauty of the others!

A home with stories, providing a space for the body and mind to breathe freely!

The manor is suitable for couples, groups of friends, and especially families. It features more than 3,400 square meters of private garden, exclusive guest rooms, an open-view dining room and kitchen, and wide viewing terraces.

There are more than 20 kinds of fruit trees and dozens of flowers and plants in the garden. Occasionally, hens, ducks, turkeys, and sheep may appear in the garden. We eagerly hope you will treat these lovely friends kindly.

There are 4 bedrooms with comfortable bedding and 2.5 bathrooms for the guests.

A large kitchen with complete equipment and beautiful scenery is spacious enough for 5 people to cook together.

There is a fireplace in the living room; in winter, you can enjoy the warmth of the fire.

You can enjoy the scenery, BBQ, or meals on the large outdoor terrace.

There are coffee machines and tea sets specially prepared for you at the dining room bar, and a BOSE sound system favored by the owner in the living room. The owner hopes you will enjoy a cup of fragrant coffee or characteristic wulong tea while taking in the beautiful scenery and music.

The host lives on the other side of the Big House, but the guests have private space, including the living room, dining room, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms.

The host will welcome you at home; please contact the host before you check in.

Herbert and I are internationalists. I was an opera singer, and Herbert was a Doctor of History and Archaeology. We like music, art, tea ceremonies, reading, cooking, and gardening. We have been living in Taupo for over six years and enjoy the peaceful life here. We like to share our private manor and lifestyle with visitors.

Why they chose this property

Taupo is the most famous tourist destination in the central part of the North Island in New Zealand. It is a town situated on the edge of a lake. If you look at a map, you will find that Taupo is located around the huge Lake Taupo. It is a lively yet peaceful place where many people from different countries live and visit.
