About this property
Luxury Cabin in the Snowy Mountains
The perfect peaceful mountain cabin on 1300 acres located in the Valley of Kosciuszko National Park, with private Thredbo River access direct from the property. Only 25 minutes from both Thredbo and Perisher Resorts and 10 minutes from Lake Jindabyne.
Fishing, Skiing, Snowboarding, Mountain Biking, Cycling, Hiking and Climbing all within reach of Jimboolan Cabin. Jimboolan is a 1300 acre property made up of both sub-alpine and alpine bushland and farmland. On still nights you'll be able to hear the Thredbo river below and you shouldn’t see any lights up this completely private valley. You are welcome to walk up the valley and admire views or walk down to the river for a fish or swim.
Our philosophy behind designing Jimboolan Cabin has been to build mindfully and sustainably. Those Carbon intensive materials, such as brick and concrete, have been maintained from the original building (Blacksmith shed), as they hold the thermal mass of heat that is so important in winter. New materials are sustainably sourced hardwoods, recycled glass and galvanised steel. We've balanced the use of natural, raw materials that pay tribute to our local environment as well as materials designed to stand the test of time so Jimboolan Cabin can be enjoyed for generations to come.
The space is fully equiped with a gas stove, electric oven, coffee machine and custom ceramics supplied by local Feldmark Pottery. Enjoy the electric underfloor heating as well as the indoor log fireplace for those cozy nights in. We supply you with complimentary firewood.
You'll sleep in a luxurious King sized bed topped with a plush micro-fibre layer, fitted with soft French linen from Bed Threads and blankets from Pony Rider.
Take a bath with our Aesop washes and enjoy the floor to ceiling views of completely private bushland.
There's an a-frame shed located right next to the cabin designed for you to store your skis, snowboards, bikes, fishing rods, and any adventure equipment you like. You have outdoor parking access right next to the cabin as well as a roofed shed parking option for wild weather days.
