Surrounded by the verdant expanse of Kinglake National Park and Steels Creek Valley, this 10-acre sanctuary offers an up close and personal connection with nature—delight in the native wildlife, from kangaroos and echidnas to a chorus of frogs at night.

The Space:
The Bunjil is located in the serene countryside of Steels Creek, just a thrilling 10-minute drive from Yarra Valley and a 25-minute drive from Healesville. Perched atop a majestic peak, this charming tiny house offers panoramic views and a sense of serenity amidst a wealth of nearby attractions to explore. Along the way, visitors can stop at wineries to meet winemakers and enjoy tastings, explore gin and whisky distilleries, and discover craft beer breweries. Healesville is full of boutiques and gourmet providers, making it a perfect complement to the serene escape at this tiny house.
Enjoy the privacy of this elevated retreat, offering both seclusion and proximity to local marvels. Embark on spontaneous adventures to discover nearby treasures like Kinglake National Park, Healesville Sanctuary, Alowyn Gardens, Maroondah Reservoir Park, and Warrandyte State Park.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home, situated in one of the best tiny house rentals and serene locations with abundant natural bushland in Steels Creek. It has easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. This includes an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers).
If you plan to spend your tiny house Victoria retreats here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you!
Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny house and surrounding areas. Guests are welcome to use the walking paths to enjoy the property. Restricted areas are fenced, including our home and the area immediately around it, the orchard, vegetable garden, vineyard, and truffière. There are also two water tanks that are restricted.

- From Melbourne CBD, it's approximately 1.25 hours (60 km) to Yarra Glen, a 15-minute drive (11 km), then 25 minutes (18 km) to Healesville.
- The property is easily accessible by a 2WD or 4WD vehicle
By Public Transport:
- Take the Lilydale Train from Melbourne CBD to Lilydale, then transfer to a bus to Yarra Glen. From there, walk or cycle to our property.
Other Things to Note:
- Wifi is not available
- BBQ Grill is not available
- Smoking is not allowed on the property
- Wildlife are shy and need to be respected
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Breakfast and Lunch are available for pre-order
- Please expect limited connectivity as the tiny house is set in a rural locality
- Don’t forget to close the windows and lock doors when leaving the tiny house/ property
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers)
- Mobile reception has good signals for Telstra; The rest has weak signals.
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
