About this property

Westwind #201 is a corner gulf-front 2 bedroom 2 bath custom decorated condominium located on the 2nd floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 960 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living area. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen boasting custom cabinets and all stainless steel appliances set in granite countertops. There is also a washer and dryer. There are two full baths with a tub/shower combo. The street-side master has an en suite bathroom and the hall bathroom has a tub/shower combo as well. King, queen, sofa sleeper. Sleeps 6. No winter monthly rentals.

Westwind is a 9-story building with 4 units per floor located 1 mile West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Westwind has an outdoor pool and grilling area. Westwind has an outdoor pool and grilling area. The building has new exterior paint colors and new windows and sliding glass doors.

Very Comfy Beds

We really enjoyed our stay this week, July 22 through the 26th 2024 at Gulf Shores! The beds were so comfortable, that was nice at the end of a long and busy day. The location was great, it was the closest we’ve ever been to the beach. We were very happy with our stay here!

Spring Getaway

Pleasant vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Westwind unit 201 is a beautiful condo in a great area on the beach. Even though it was February we were able to spend time on the beach and enjoy the ocean and relax. Private access to the beach is really nice. The unit was really clean and functional. The beds were very comfortable. The only issue we had was that no beach chairs or umbrella were provided and the rental services do not start their set up service until March 1 (we were there in February). We ended up purchasing chairs and an umbrella. Luckily we drove into town so we were able to take the home. The location is within walking distance of many great shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed this vacation and the owners of this unit do a great job with giving it a beachy feeling.

Absolutely no negatives at this property. Well stocked, very clean, wonderful location! We had a very enjoyable stay, although too short! Would stay here again if opportunity arises.

Family beach trip

Condo was very clean open arrival. Not did it look clean it smelled clean. Everything was as it looked in the pictures. Very nice and updated. Beds slept good. Master bedroom did not stay as cool.as the rest of the condo but we had a little travel fan and did fine. Very short walk to the beach. Pool was cleaned every morning. Would definitely consider staying again.

Beautiful condo with a great view.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo unit was clean, had great views of the Gulf and you could tell a lot of upgrades had been made. It was very nice on the inside and it looks like they are repairs being done on the exterior of the building. The only downside was that we had a 6am wake up call every morning from the trash truck emptying the dumpster that was located directly under our bedroom and the first night we were there we were visited by one of the largest cockroaches we had ever seen. Other than that the unit was beautiful and has great access to the beach with a good location to other attractions and amenities.

Kitchen sink cold water turned off scalding hot water from faucet found by my daughter! AC does not cool master BR unless you close the living room vent! luggage carts have broken wheels! beach access needs to be cleaned of mildew and sand water will not drain! other than the finding all that the condo was nice and kitchen was clean with great cooking utensils. Also, guide on cable TV does not work.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved staying at this property because it is quaint enough that you don’t have to fight the large crowds at the other properties. The condo was well maintained, clean, and easily accessible. The view of the Gulf was amazing from the balcony and you were a few steps away from the water. The pool on the property was cleaned every morning by a pool maintenance company. We will definitely consider staying here again on the future, depending on how many are in our group. Gulf Shores Rental was great to work with and made everything so easy. We utilized the Stay and Play program for 3 of our activities that saved us some extra money, which was nice!

Great place to stay

I was relieved to walk in and see it was just as the pictures showed. Nice and clean, nice furnishings and nicely updated. The only issue for us was that the pool was right below us so you could here everything and they could look right up at you if you were on the balcony. Overall it was a great experience and we would stay here again.

Condo and updated renovations were quite nice. Cookware was great. Our dryer broke the 2nd day and was promptly fixed the following day. Would stay again. Beach was awesome!

Very nice and updated. Beachfront, and close enough to lots of restaurants

The property was updated quite nicely. We had direct beach access. Very nice view of the ocean on the patio. The unit was very clean and inviting. Overall we loved the place. The only complaint that I would have, was there was a trash chute right by the master bedroom that could get quite loud when the upper floors deposited their trash. Even with that, I would absolutely stay here again.
