This property exceeded all of our hopes and expectations in so many ways. The location of the property is off a very quiet road and sits on the most stunning section of Lower Suncook Lake. The views are absolutely breathtaking. It's peaceful, while also being so much fun for all ages of our family. The house itself was immaculate and met all of the needs of our big group. The house came with a variety of different water toys such as kayaks, tubes and other water activities. The kids also loved playing out on the lawn and in the "beach" that led into the lake. JP was absolutely wonderful to communicate with. I wouldn't change a thing and we truly hope to stay again in the future. 10/10 recommend!!
My husband and I spent the week at the lake our 2 boys (10 and 13), my parents, my brother, his wife, and their 1 year old daughter. We all had a fantastic time. The house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. There was lots of space for everyone to have their own area and to do what they wanted (watch tv, play pool, read on a couch with a beautiful view of the water). It was really helpful to have 2 fridges. The outdoor space was wonderful with the large dining table on the deck with the retractable awning. There were lots of lawn chairs and other seating near the water including the gazebo and picnic table. It was great to have so many floats and kayaks available. The area was secluded and peaceful but there were some nice restaurants just a short drive away. We took a ride to Weir's beach one day which was about 40 minutes away. Check in and check out were seamless. Our relaxing week came to an end way too soon!
The lake was beautiful as were the sunsets. I loved sitting on the couch that faces the lake. The house is more open than it appears in the pictures with plenty of room for our big family. We liked the retractable awning on the deck and enjoyed the fire pit (and smores). Camp Charlie is definitely on our list of places we'd like to return!
The house sits on the shoreline of Suncook Lake. Beautiful views of spectacular sunsets! We were pleased with the availability of kayaks, tubes and lawn games. The house was comfortable though housekeeping did not do a great job cleaning before our arrival. Having 2 refrigerators was very helpful as we brought our own food and cooked in for the 9 of us. We were a little disappointed with the quality of the lake and swimming. While a great lake for boating, there is no real beach. Water is accessed by stone steps down to a sandy/rocky area. My wife and I had to remove a bunch of dead milfoil and snails and we raked the bottom of the old leaves and vegetation to reveal sand to give the grandchildren a place to swim. It is shallow so that is not a problem. On the last day a water snake swam by and, though, not venomous or aggressive, discouraged further swimming. It will probably not be a property we would return to for our purposes but JP was extremely helpful and responsive and if you want some beautiful scenery and enjoy boating it is a great place to be.
Very nice, comfortable home on a pretty lake! Great views! Great toys including kayaks, paddle boat, corn hole. Owner was awesome and communicated well! We appreciated the note that we could get in early as prior guests left early or something! We had 7 year old visit one day and the shallow Sandy area was great! Thanks for the great memories!
We loved this property. The house is laid out beautifully for a multigenerational group . The furnishings felt like they had been chosen to be user friendly , as well as attractive. The yard and landscaping along the water are lovely. We especially enjoyed the huge fire pit. We all agreed that we would love to return for another stay.
Our family loved this well equipped and spacious house. The waterfront is so lovely, and we enjoyed the kayaks and the shallow water area for little ones. The extra large fire pit was our favorite gathering place for watching sunsets and sharing family stories. And I escaped whenever I could to the sofa in the gazebo for reading. Would love to come back!
Memorable week on the the lake! We had family of all ages and there was plenty to do for all. The house is very well stocked and plenty of activities offered even in the rain.
Beautiful views , clear water, kayaks , floats, games, fire pit and gazebo .We have spent many years in other locations and this Was our favorite !
We rented this house as a place to gather as a family for 1 week to celebrate our daughter’s 1st birthday. My parents and sister joined as well. The weather wasn’t great the whole time, but there was plenty for us to do and enjoy the entire week. There were kayaks, cornhole, a pool/ping pong table, and a huge fire pit, PLUS there was a toddler water toy, a high chair, toys and books (nice when you have little ones) so we had a blast the whole time!
Bonus - The owners were extremely responsive to any and all questions.
There's not much more you could ever need on a lake vacation. This is a beautiful clean house with all of the practical amenities. We are a bit of clean freaks (especially important during COVID) and it was immediately comfortable. The boat did click a bit when peddling and seems like it may need a replacement belt (likelt simple) , but every other tool, kayak, tube, life jacket was great! The pool table converts to ping pong which we played a lot of with the kids at night. Bringing your food is key since the market is a bit of a ride but there are small stores local for the basics. We brought a tumble mat that was awesome to float in the water for fun, but they really have what you need. The raised firepit is amazing and huge. We thought we would use the gazebo more but didn't find time to coordinate since the kids would disappear on water vessels. No complaints. Really. This is awesome.
We were very happy with our stay. Lake views and access are wonderful. It was great to have the use of kayaks and lawn games. The house was comfortable and clean; central air was appreciated when needed. JP was friendly and prompt with communication.
The place was perfect for all ages. We used both the beach area and the dock for swimming. Water quality was great as well as the fishing. Enjoyed many nights around the fire and the beautiful sunsets. Very relaxing and quiet lake with very pleasant neighbors.
Our sixth lake house family vacation - ages 69 to 13 -
Perfect - in a word
A story book could not have read more wonderfully.
House was clean, spacious, great layout.
Yard was level for games and fire pit was lit every night.
Water was clean and warm .
Water toys were ample and in great condition.
We brought our own paddleboard.
Steps to access the water with sandy bottom.
Quick question responses from owners.
We all will remember this vacation for a long time to come!!
Well done JP
Over the years our family ages 5-80, have stayed in several lake houses in NH. The house is the best. It had everything we could possibly want or need plus the owners were extremely responsive to our questions. The lake was the perfect size, great for swimming & all kinds of boating, plus the water was warm & refreshing. We hope to return again & again.
What an amazing place. Everything you need for a Great Lake house stay. From kayaks, to fishing polls, Fire pit, pool table, swimming, and especially the spectacular view. The Krueger’s thought of everything you need to have a perfect vacation, for outdoor and indoor fun. We were a large party and had more then enough space. You will not regret staying here. I Highly recommend it.
Absolutely beautiful (and extremely clean!) home! Great location! It has everything you need for a fun vacation! We had a mix of rain and sun the week that we stayed ... but plenty to do no matter the weather! We had a blast using the ping pong / pool table on the rainy days! We thoroughly enjoyed the paddle boat and kayaks on the sunny days! Highly recommend this property!

Lovely place for families!
Enjoyed a wonderful winter getaway to the Krueger home last month! Their lake house design is totally practical, with an inviting common/kitchen/game room area and then private guest rooms above and below. Home is very well stocked with amenities you may need during your stay, from board games to kitchen items, and features cozy furniture and fun outdoor equipment. Communication with the owners regarding trip details was easy - they were very quick and responsive to our questions. Thank you for sharing your super spot!

Great time at the lake with family.
JP & family really roll out the welcome mat for their guests. Ages 7 - 67 had so much fun this week. 5 kayaks, a paddleboat with a sun shade, tubes & floats all ready for us & we used everything! Our week ranged from blistering mid ninety degrees to torrential rain with flash floods but we had something to do the whole time. We brought a small fishing boat which was a perfect size for the lake. All the kids caught fish & there were some good sized bass too. We definitely would recommend staying at this family centered home away from home. Thanks JP & family.

lake house with all the fixin's
This house was great for our family vacation including children and grandchildren. Very well equipped with lots of games and sporting equipment. The real nice pool table and ping pong table were my favorites. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. the adjustable awning was an awesome amenity making for a very comfortable outdoor dining spot. We got plenty of use out of the two person paddle boat and dock. If you forced me to find a negative it would be the lake water is not as clear as I had hoped. With that said I, without reservation, highly recommend this property.

About the host
Hosted by JP Krueger
Our names are Meredith and JP. We both grew up in Massachusetts and now live on the north shore of Massachusetts. We met one fateful night at a bar in Boston called the Sail Loft. Since then, we have been making memories traveling around the world and raising our pug named Charlie and our daughters Maya and Zoey. We own a gym in Charlestown and enjoy being outside and staying active.
Why they chose this property
We have spent plenty of weekends on lakes in New Hampshire and Maine and have always dreamed of owning a house on a lake, but never thought it would be possible. It was love at first sight when we saw this place and we continue to fall in love every time we visit.
What makes this property unique
It is not every day that you can experience perfection. Lake views from almost every room in the house, sunsets directly across the lake, a gazebo so you can eat lunch in the shade, a dock so you can tie up your boat, a gigantic wrap around deck, a massive fire pit on a gorgeous lawn, and the list goes on... What's not to love?
