Beautiful, relaxing home with ever activity you could imagine

This home was absolutely serene - the beautiful gardens, patio, yard, dock, swim platform kept us wonderfully impressed. The home has many activities which kept us thoroughly entertained and the inside of the home was extremely comfortable as well as stocked with everything we would need. We would love to come back again. Thank you.

Great lake house for a gathering

Our group of college friends all enjoyed our time at Cy and David's lovely home. Everything was really well thought out with lots of communal space and little nooks for those who still had to phone in to work occasionally. We enjoyed all the hard work that had been put into the gardens, and all the outdoor possibilities - boat deck, patio, porch swing. A small hiccup with the water on Monday, but by the end of the day, we were able to pick up our rental boat and have a great dinner with everyone. The Lokers managed all the issues with a minimum of impact on our stay.

Great Property

Excellent home in a great location. Owners were extremely nice and easy to deal with. Place was clean and comfortable. Nice dock and boat slip big enough to accommodate a 24’ Pontoon and Jet ski. Floating swim up dock and lots of equipment and water toys for renters use. Large entertainers yard.

Lovely Lake Retreat

Our experience renting this property was wonderful. Our initial check in with the owners was great, they walked us through the property showing us all the features, where to find things, and how to best enjoy their home. The Home it self is large, yet each space is comfortable. Plenty of room for large groups to gather, yet spread out enough to allow privacy when desired. The grounds are very well kept. An upper grass area is great for outdoor gatherings and meals. The dock/waterfront is comfortable with a series of deck chairs for relaxing, a raft for sunbathing/swimming and a rope swing. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking large meals for our group of 11 and the dining room was large enough to seat all of us at the table at once. We spent much of our time relaxing by the water, lounging in the great room, and enjoying the hammock. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to visiting again.

Fantastic Family getaway

CY and David's lovely home was the perfect place for our blended family to enjoy a week of fun on the lake. Due to COVID, we spent the entire week at the house, rather than visiting local restaurants/tourist locations. We brought our own SeaDoo and rented a boat that could accommodate all 11 of us one of the days. The well-equipped kitchen allowed for easy meal prep every night and we were able to eat together in the spacious dining room. The firepit made for fun nights making s'mores, the dock gave us breathtaking views of the sunset. I hope we can return again some day. Thank you!

Wonderful time with family right on Lake Winnipesaukee

We had a wonderful stay with our extended family. The house was right on the lake with beautiful views and lots of lakefront activities. Great kitchen and grill and open family area. Excellent yard with lots of flowers, fresh herbs, vegetables, and berries. Would highly recommend!

Family Reunion on Lake Winnipesaukee

The quality of this property, it's comfort level for a large family (13 members), it's location, the available amenities both within the house, and available for outdoor sporting activities, was exceeded only by the warm and welcoming hospitality of the owners, David and Cynthia. This is the nicest property we have rented for a fun and comfortable family vacation. We all agreed that it was unique, and would return if we could.

Very Beautiful and Peaceful!

The owners are very friendly and helpful. There are lots of areas to sit outside and enjoy the view of the lake. The only negative thing to say is that you have to go through one bedroom to get to the bedroom with the bunkbeds. All the beds were very comfortable!!

About the host

Hosted by David and Cynthia Loker

Host profile image
We are David and Cynthia Loker. We live in Needham, MA and Moultonborough NH. We bought this property for a second home in 1997 and now spend more than half of our time here at the lake. We love the relaxing atmosphere the lake exudes as well as all the activities it affords. We belong to a golf club, enjoy snow skiing as well as water skiing. We do lots of kayaking, sailing and boating around this huge lake. It seems we never will see the whole lake with all of its islands and coves. Going out for breakfast, lunch or dinner in the boat is a treat that we enjoy often. The foliage in the fall is gorgeous - to be enjoyed on the many hikes nearby and followed by relaxing around our big wood burning fireplace, our gas fireplace or the firepit by the lake.

Why they chose this property

We ended up buying a second home in NH because David's family always vacationed there so he felt like it was home. Cynthia is from Michigan and was used to lakes, not oceans, so also gravitated to this area. The first time we saw the house and the view we know this was it!!
