Originally serving as the MacGillivray School, this historic building has a story to tell. It supported the education of local children before being transformed into a family home. The recent restoration by renowned architect Max Pritchard, who was born in The Workman’s Cottage at Stranraer Homestead, brings a unique and personal touch to Wattle Grove Cottage. Max’s deep connection to the property and the Wheaton family ensures that the cottage elegantly blends the old and the new, preserving its historic charm while providing contemporary comforts.
