About this property
Peaceful Retreat on the outskirts of Hokitika
Welcome to Mountain View Retreat, our holiday home on the outskirts of Hokitika.
Nestled in a peaceful, quiet setting, at the end of a well maintained gravel road (1.5km), Mountain View Retreat is on the way to Lake Kaniere, a popular summer playground for tourists.
Mountain View Retreat has absolutely stunning views of protected wetlands, with forestry and the majestic Southern Alps as the unbelievable backdrop.
Located right on the West Coast Wilderness Cycle track, this location is very desirable.
With three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two lounges, there's plenty of room for all when the weather is not good. There are two heat-pumps providing heating and air-conditioning.
We have plenty of toys and games for the kids, and a bookcase full of interesting reading for the adults.
With a well-equipped kitchen, there are no shortage of options to cook, otherwise a short 6 minute drive takes you to the heart of Hokitika and the cafes / restaurants.

About the host
Hosted by Kylie Smart
We're Kylie and Jase and we'd like to welcome you to our beloved holiday home in Hokitika. We absolutely love Mountain View and wanted to share the views and peaceful nature of this home with you.
Why they chose this property
This home was built by Kylie's parents in the early 2000's, and when it came time for them to retire, Kylie and Jase decided to keep the property as it was too special to the family to lose
What makes this property unique
The views are unique... so stunning and peaceful. Also, there are two big lounges, so plenty of space for everyone if the weather is not behaving!
