Right in the heart of Margaret River, this very special house and garden sanctuary includes outdoor relaxation spaces including an undercover living area with outdoor heating for the winter months.
The house boasts an eclectic collection of art from my work in remote Aboriginal communities and from local artists. From the house, you can enjoy an easy walk to the river, forest and the main street galleries, shops and cafes. Winery tour operators can pick you up from the house.
The space
This self contained retreat is located as a private annexe in the rear section of our spacious older style Margaret River home. The accommodation is semi, detached, meaning it is a private space joined by a common wall. Our guests enjoy their own private entrance, a living area, two bedrooms if needed, a modern bathroom and comfortable indoor and outdoor living spaces.
The property has been creatively renovated with attention to space and design, ensuring you have a comfortable and relaxing stay. Quality linen and towels are supplied and wifi is available for easy internet connection.
The furnishing is comprised of an eclectic mixture of modern and antique pieces, pottery from Spain and just special things that have been collected over time.
I am once again building up my reading collection where you'll find many books with an Aboriginal voice, popular novels, travel and art books. For the musicians, the guitar will always be tuned.
The retreat provides spacious accommodation for a maximum of 4 guests. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and the second bedroom has a double bed. Both beds boast the best in mattress comfort.
The covered private outdoor area, has a comfortable daybed and a dining table and chairs.
The entrance verandah overlooks the courtyard garden and is a relaxing place to soak up the morning sun.
Soft lighting creates a warm, inviting ambience in the outdoor areas in the evening.
The living area has a dining table and chairs, a sofa and two occasional chairs.
The modern L shaped bathroom has a spacious shower, granite splash back, and the very latest shower head to ensure strong water pressure for a relaxing shower. The bathroom has two entrances, one giving easy access from the bedrooms, and the other, leading outside to the garden.
