An amazing location right on the beach front. Locals are friendly. The dog had a great time. I would highly recommend if you want a good old kiwi batch experience and a nice relaxing holiday.
What a perfect place to cosy up and watch the weather roll in! The bach was beautifully set up with everything you could need. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.
Rachael is the best host- quick and helpful communication.Best views and position- right on the beach. House has everything you need plus more, a Bluetooth speaker, electric tooth brush charger, fully decked out kitchen, a kayak plus access to more if you need. It’s a great bach in a beautiful part of NZ.
Great location and an amazing host great with communication. Its not the Hilton hotel but has everything we needed very tidy little place.Waking up to the sound of the ocean the best
Everything we wanted and more. We wanted an iconic kiwi bach on the beach and thats what this is. All the facilities you could want, spotlessly clean, dream location, friendly locals, just lovely. Great comms from Rachael and quick to respond if you have a question. Such a great 3 days we had. We will be back.
We loved this place! The kids had a blast splashing in the sea and exploring the rock pools. The water was clear and they found an abundance of sea life. It was super easy being right there on the deck where we could watch them. The house was comfy and cute and had everything we could possibly need, including a fantastic coffee machine. The kids roasted marshmallows in the fire pit and tried out the puzzles, games and boogy boards.Rachael was super helpful and answered any questions we had. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for a wonderful relaxing stay.
PERFECT!! We wanted quite and peaceful by the sea, in a classic kiwi batch and this place delivered. It had everything we needed plus a little more extras that were generous and kind of the owner to provide. It gave us whar we wanted a place to relax. Thank you.
A return to the way things used to be is how I describe the wee bach, rustic with history and perfectly formed. The beach access was excellent, and the surrounding area of the bay and Mana was perfect for walks with the dogs, close to water and cafes. The evening spent at the bach with the fire on was a great relaxing touch. We will go back for sure. Jude and Family
This bach was perfect for us. Simple but very tasteful and had everything we needed. Kids had so much fun playing in the rock pools just in front. Met some lovely neighbours. Shower had fabulous pressure! Rachael is super lovely. Highly recommended!

New to book a bach and live in the Capital. Our family of 6 have squeezed into this bach for the summer, as soon as school finishes we are out there until February when school starts. We pitch a tent for a couple of the kids and the rest of us live cozily inside. Its such a beautiful sunny spot during the warmer months! While Wellington is cold during the winter months it's still enjoyable to light the fire and to roast marshmallows.
Why they chose this property
Pukerua Bay is a reserve, so the sea-life is protected. (Please read and respect the signs). The rock pools are awesome to explore and there are even some resident pet eels down under the bridge. It's perfect to switch off and unwind right here.
What makes this property unique
It is absolute beachfront, there is no road between the house and beach, footpath access only. Parking is on the road approximately 150 metres along the beach.
