Great location
Property was a great location and the outdoor hot tub and patio were nice - even in December! Great space to play games in the large dining room. A handful of things could be improved - I communicated them with the property manager and he seemed to appreciate the feedback.
Our family of 5 (my husband and I, sons age 20, 11, and 5) stayed for a short 3 night trip right before Christmas. Positives of the place: location- the neighborhood is close to so many things, and a bonus was all the beautiful decorations. Space- the house easily accomodated our family with room to spare. Backyard- the hot tub and firepit were great. We brought a projector and watched a movie in the hot tub one night. There are plenty of towels. Negatives- this is an old house, with old windows. It's drafty and there is actually one window that cannot be closed. We shoved a towel in it to keep the cold air out. Bathrooms-the toilet in the master bedroom had to be re-set through the tank after each use. The shower in the master bedroom drained very slowly, so you shower standing in several inches of water. The doorknob in the other 2nd floor bathroom falls off every time you touch it, and the knob on the hot water in the first floor bathroom is missing the end so it comes apart when you use it. Kitchen- the amount of plates and cups was fine for our family's short stay, but would not be sufficient for a larger group or a larger stay. There are no bowls. None of these issues were major enough to need immediate intervention, which is great because the host did not respond at all during our stay. Not even a confirmation that they had seen our questions or comments. I received an automated message at check out about leaving a review, but still no personal response.
