About this property
Taylors Bay Cottage ~unique design!
Gracing the shores of Little Taylors Bay is a fisherman's cottage with a twist, commonly known as the round house because of its unique design features. Taylors Cottage looks out towards Huon Island and the D'Entrecasteaux Channel. Here, you can sit on the deck and enjoy the tranquil waters of Little Taylors Bay, just as the great explorer Baudin and the crews of the Geographie and the Naturaliste did in 1802.

This unique waterfront cottage situated on the shores of Little Taylors Bay is suited for groups of up to 4 people. The open design of the cottage allows grand views of Little Taylors Bay from the open-plan kitchen and lounge room.
The cottage features a well-appointed kitchen. Guests may enjoy meals or refreshments at the indoor/outdoor tables and watch the sunset over Little Taylors Bay. The lounge area has a comfortable leather lounge with a wood fireplace for those cooler days and nights.

What makes this property unique
Sustainability: Preserving our properties pristine environment is of utmost importance to Taylors Bay Cottage. We have dedicated ourselves to protecting and managing the land which surrounds our accommodations to safeguard the native flora and fauna which inhabit our delicate ecosystems; which unfortunately, are too often rare or critically endangered.
We actively promote responsible waste management by composting all food leftovers and green waste through our large worm farm -a first of its kind in Tasmania- where organic waste is transformed into nutrient-rich compost, thereby, reducing landfill whilst also bolstering our local ecosystems health.
When you choose to stay at Taylors Bay Cottage, you not only indulge in a unique and memorable experience, but also contribute to the conservation of our precious natural heritage. Together, we can make a difference and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
