Greetings!

Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about us! In 2021, we made the exciting move from Vermont to Tennessee, embracing a new chapter in our lives. I am a proud veteran of the US Army (HOOAH), and after a fulfilling career at a Fortune 500 company, I retired to dive into a variety of entrepreneurial ventures here in Tennessee. Scott, my partner, retired from his construction company in late 2020 and now channels his expertise into projects that complement our growing business portfolio.

Our shared passion for riding our Harleys is one of our favorite pastimes. For the gearheads out there, I own a 2016 Road Glide Special, and Scott rides a highly customized 2012 Street Glide. If you're interested, we'd be thrilled to give you a closer look! Beyond that, I’m passionate about working out—weight lifting and spinning are my go-tos—and I also enjoy container gardening.

We are blessed with five wonderful children. Two have chosen to stay in Vermont, while one ventured to college in Florida and decided to stay there. We're thrilled that both of our daughters have joined us in our Tennessee business endeavors.

Our Tennessee businesses include:
- [Star Gazer Stays Glamping Village](http://www.stargazerstaysglamping.com)
- [Star Gazer Stays](http://www.stargazerstays.com)
- [The Smokies STR Sherpa real estate sales](http://www.smokiesstrsherpa.com)
- [The Heavenly Roast coffee shop](http://www.theheavenlyroast.com)

We would be honored to treat you like family at our Glamping Resort. We are truly grateful for the freedom and opportunities that being vacation home rental operators has afforded us. We live full lives, pursuing our dreams and creating lasting memories with our family, and we hope you'll enjoy your stay at Star Gazer Farm Glamping Resort!

Wishing you safe travels,
Karen and Scott

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property because it offers a rare combination of natural beauty, historical significance, and a perfect location for a tranquil retreat. The presence of natural springs and Indian arrowheads speaks to its rich history and deep connection to the land. The property's past as a working farm adds to its character, giving it a sense of continuity and purpose.

The transformation into a glamping retreat allows us to share this unique experience with others while preserving its natural charm. The serene environment, with verdant greenways, hidden hollows, and star-gazing hills, provides an escape from the hustle and bustle, yet it remains conveniently close to the attractions of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Asheville.

The abundant wildlife, scenic hiking trails, and inviting swimming holes make this property a haven for nature lovers. It’s the perfect place for people to unwind, reconnect with nature, and explore the rich history and beauty of the region.

What makes this property unique

Star Gazer Farm Glamping is a truly unique destination in Eastern Tennessee, offering a perfect mix of modern comfort and natural immersion. As glamping becomes more mainstream, we set ourselves apart by providing modern conveniences like temperature-controlled units and WiFi, and a variety of accommodation types while also offering the chance to unplug and connect with nature.

Our resort is all-inclusive, so all you need to bring are your clothes. We provide every essential amenity, either as part of your stay or through our online camp store. Our accommodations feature sturdy, waterproof safari-style tents that can withstand winds over 100 mph, ensuring a safe and comfortable stay. Inside, you’ll find plush mattresses, luxury bamboo sheets, and mini splits for climate control, keeping you comfortable year-round.

Our bathhouse is a standout feature, with each safari tent assigned its own specific bathhouse compartment. These spacious compartments include a spa shower, sink, mirror, and toilet, with room for your essentials. Each compartment is shared with no more than one other tent, ensuring privacy and convenience.

Inside each safari tent, you’ll find first aid and s’mores kits, free resort stickers, and electric outlets. Outside, enjoy your private furnished deck and a private firepit flanked by two Adirondack chairs, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Each tent accommodates two guests, with options for a queen bed or two twin beds.

Beyond your tent, the resort offers plenty of outdoor activities. Hike up the Andromeda Trail for a stunning view of the Smokies, or explore our secret hollow and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the forest. Wildlife encounters are common, with chances to see bear, deer, turkey, bobcats, and squirrels. At night, fall asleep to the soothing sounds of cicadas, crickets, and the nearby creek. The surrounding area also offers miles of rolling hills and lightly used paved country roads, ideal for biking or e-biking.
