The Space:
Peggy’s View is a quaint, hand hewn, built- with- love- house, that floods you with natural light and is gorgeously perched up for an expansive view of the mountainous desert. This abode is only 5 minutes from downtown Alpine; both worlds of city and stargazing can be conveniently had. This 2- bedroom, 2- bath features a warm at- home feel with beautiful cedar trim throughout, a homey dining nook with a wide, desert view, a wonderful soaking clawfoot tub, covered parking, fenced yard, a walking trail that will take you up “A” Mountain, or take the short jaunt to Blue Water Natural Foods where you can take advantage of the local members pricing. Peggy’s view has a full kitchen for all your cooking needs.
Peggy’s View was lovingly designed by Peggy Peters and then almost totally built by their own hands, Ted and Peggy created Peggy’s View in 2010. It is your perfect place to visit and explore the Big Bend most conveniently located in Alpine which is a central point for exploring the greater Big Bend.

Peggy's View has a fenced yard. There are 6 acres to hike up "A" Mountain that includes a switch back path that takes you almost to the very top where the best scenic views are.

If your group is too large for Peggy’s View, House of Trails, Trails Sister and Casa de Agua are right next door.

Guest Access:
Included in your stay is the use of a hiking trail that goes down to Blue Water Natural Foods, or half-way up ‘A Mountain’ to a sweet bench. Evening sunsets are beautiful from this vantage point.

The area around the pond is a common area that can be enjoyed by guests and residents living close by.

The home is in an natural and native area. This includes native landscape that can be quite harsh and prickly, as well as, native animals and critters. Also wasps and bees and other insects thrive here and steps are taken to make sure they are not harmed. Please consider any allergies before booking.

Nice house

My family and I enjoyed the stay at the house. We were there for a quick trip but it was a relaxing and beautiful time amongst the beautiful scenery that Alpine has. I recommend this location.

Perfect home away from home

From the beginning of my rental to the end every thing was very easy and the host answered any questions quickly. Its location was ideal as far as it was not in town, but close by all the restaurants or stores. I’d highly recommend this property on your visit to Alpine.

Lovely, comfortable home.

Check in was super easy and host rapidly responded to a question I had. The view from the dining and living room is spectacular. Grandson (6) loved hiking up the hill out the back door and the views from the top are breathtaking. We brought our pup and the fenced in area was very safe and perfect. Lifetime memories and a definite do over.

The BEST starry nights!

Peggy’s View was a spacious property for the two of us. We enjoyed watching the quail and deer, out the window from the dining table, as we ate breakfast. The night sky (12/26-29) was amazing from here as well—there is no light pollution where this place is located; we were able to stargaze each night. I would definitely rent here again if staying in Alpine.

Sights

Stay at your place was fine. Just nothing to view nor see. Not your fault.Too much is built up about Big Bend area. We found it very boring. We simply cannot understand why the towns are like Ghost towns with everything closed and no one on the streets.
