Close-By Attractions

Callaghan’s Rapids Conservation Area. Callaghan’s Rapids features two waterfalls, spanning across the entire width of the Crowe River. When river flows are low enough, you can walk out and explore the river bed. The upper waterfall is formed on a wedge-shaped outcrop of limestone, which appears beveled down to a sharp edge right at the crest of the falls. The lower falls is similar, but does not exhibit the beveled-edge crest. (15 mins)

Horsin’ Around Riding Ranch. Trail rides, pony rides, and kids camps are available at the ranch. (15 mins)
Trent Severn Waterway Lock 8. Lock 8 is located at the end of a dead-end road in a quiet country setting. Lovely cottage
This is a lovely cottage, beautiful views, great area. I do however have some things I wasn't happy with, mostly the beds. The beds were not comfortable, most of us did not sleep well. That to me is the whole point of renting a place to stay, is to sleep, if the beds aren't comfortable, I won't be coming back. Also, the place wasn't very clean. Every kitchen drawer and cupboard I opened definitely needed cleaning. The amount of dead bugs in the light fixtures was just gross to be honest. The floors were clean, bathrooms, table tops etc., but not everything was clean. Also, to ask to supply your own toilet paper is a little much.
