About this property
Artist Country Cottage on the Ocean
Historic Rustic Cottage on the Ocean with a large backyard deck, private cliff edge gazebo, artistically decorated common spaces, and beautiful views of the ocean. A gem of a vacation getaway. The cottage was built in 1890, features eclectic artwork, and is an ideal spot for family gatherings or a getaway with friends.
This cottage sleeps up to 10 people and features wonderful common spaces, two bathrooms with showers and over an acre of land. Cottage features a tremendous ocean-facing porch with sweeping views of the Penobscot Bay for your morning tea or coffee and lounging in the hammock or rocking chair. Down the backyard path is an amazing gazebo at the cliffs edge overlooking the ocean perfect for Yoga, meditation, painting, and contemplation.
Dining room area with a large farm table can seat up to 10, adjacent to a spacious kitchen ideal for cooking meals and fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, as well as all appliances, including a microwave, dishwasher, and coffee machine. The house layout includes kitchen, dining room, living room, washer dryer, and one bedroom downstairs with an en-suit bathroom . The upstairs is comprised of 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a fully functional office space with a desk, couch and large table for doing work, writing, reading, or hanging out.
The house features a 19th century wood burning stove in kitchen and beautiful exposed beam work. House is also equipped with fire pit on the rear lawn where you can enjoy roasting marshmallows and stargazing, as well as an outside Lobster Cooker and charcoal BBQ. Saturday Cove is a 5-minute walk from the house and a great spot to walk on the beach, launch kayaks, and swim when the weather allows.
Send me a message if you are interested in long-term rentals as this is an ideal space to spend a chunk of the summer.
