About this property

Spectacular views, nature, pet friendly off grid experience

Spectacular views across to Mt Buller, experience an off grid holiday that has minimum impact on the environment. 50 acre bush property that is wonderfully relaxing with magnificent nature, stream and walks. Property is pet friendly and completely self sufficient.
Ideal for people and families who want a beautiful and sustainable country experience and are comfortable with woodstoves for heating and tanks for water. Great for 1-2 families, groups or couples looking to work or experience solitude.

This house was hand-built by its original owner. It sits on a 50 acre bush block, situated on top of a cutting along Yarck rd with stunning views across to Mt Buller. It is completely self-sufficient with wood stove to heat water, two wood fires to heat house, four water tanks and 1.7kw solar system with battery storage. You will need to be a bit frugal with your energy and water use and the house takes an afternoon to heat, so not necessarily for people who like all the creature comforts but definitely for those who love nature, sustainable living, sitting around a fire and great views that change throughout the day - they will captivate you for hours.

Great for dogs, who will love running around and exploring, so bring your fur babies along.

There is a path down to Godfrey's creek, eventually coming to a small waterfall. During the day you can walk down to the creek and up the other side of the mountain and get a great work out. At night you can sit in front of the wonderful fire inside or watch the sunset outside around the fire or create a bonfire with plenty of wood around the property. You may see some native animals like wallabies, wombats and maybe even an echidna and hear the kookaburras.

Single level house with 3 bedrooms and a TV room with a fold out sofa. Master bedroom with king bed, ensuite and terrific view; Queen bedroom also has great view and work space. Bunk room with a bunk bed and sofa bed and TV room with a fold out sofa and woodstove.
Kitchen with woodstove, which heats the water (initially takes overnight) and dining room and living area with powerful fireplace that is a joy to relax around.
