pleasant Staff, room old but clean,good shower, air con good, very near to China Town, City centre,a taxi ride 80 to 100,000 Dong. breakfast adequate, an average hotel within most budgets.

We checked in late and was very tired after a long day the reception did not even know we already booked and paid for the room , we felt frustrated and very unwelcome, we had the room with window but has 2 single beds with the bathroom too old and sewerage has very strong smell from the bathtub, the bathtub is old and too high to step out, the vanity moulded, tv is old but ok to use, wifi is good, the reception area looks very stylish and new but the bedroom is too old, corridor lead to the bedroom is dark, a bit scrary to walk to the room, would not recommend to anyone.

hotel in china town

cant check in coz hotel rules say check in time is 2 pm. room looks ols n shabby. hotel close to hospital n funeral parlours. the location in busy, noisy n crowded area. but there is a cinema nearby. i dont feel comfortable staying in this area.

comfortable and good value

We booked a room with a double and a single bed for a family with two young children. The room was spacious and comfortable, the aircon was good. However, the hotel supplies was very ungenerous comparing to other hotels we have stayed. For example, there were only 2 bath towels and hand towels prepared for the three people room. the "mini bar" has two bottles of spring water and a kettle, no coffee or tea whatsoever. Although the room is non smoking, but there is the smoking smell lingering around in the corridor and sometimes in the room too.

Good value for money

The hotel was good value for money. Staff provided good service. Try to request rooms that have already been refurbished as old rooms were very dark and dated. The bath tub was too high to get in and out especially for old people. The shower head did not have enough pressure & took a long time to shower due to the small volume of water.

Laid back place to relax

Checking in was bit of a hassle, Front desk keeps your passport on arrival. Location was a bit far off from HCMC. Local area had lots of places to dine in. Locals very friendly and helpful. One single staff member ( Concierge) was very helpful with my getting around and sightseeing. He seems to be doing it regularly to in house guest on request. Room did not have a window, not sure if that had to be requested. Room service was very limited.

Very good location

It seemed that the room was not cleaned everyday. The hair was still in the washing basin. The omelette and the soup noodles were good. The buffet breakfast was nearly the same for the entire 9 days that we stayed there. The food was lukewarm and the porridge was cold. When you use tongs to pick up the fresh cut tomatoes, a few insects flew up from the tomatoes. Some of he watermelon started to become sour as it was not cold enough due to the hot water. Other than that, the location is good, there were lots of restaurants and food store were around. The staff are helpful.

ok hotel near chinese district

I stayed at Dong Khanh hotel for 3 nights,convenience in china town area plenty of food around,service is very good,the staffs try their best to help whatever I request.Bed sheets are clean but the room is very old and wear off,not enough power for shower and the shower head holder is broken,(same problem for with brother in laws one)air-con is not very good but after we have complain they fixed it straight away,breakfast is so so,overall the hotel is ok for the price I paid.But will try other one next time.
