Great accommodation and plenty of space .Could only stay for 1 night next time we will stay for more .

What a delightful property the Red House is! 15 mins from Kaikoura and just a few steps from a wild, and pretty much deserted beach. The property was the perfect blend of comfort and convenience with thoughtful and imaginative styling. It felt cosy and traditional while having modern facilities to make your stay as stress-free as possible. A real gem that we will definitely be coming back to!

Set below the snow capped mountains, birds and sheep to watch with a cuppa, the warmth of the straw bale home, this home is a awesome base for a kaikoura stay. Be sure to ask Hamish to cook you a smoked lamb shank dinner and a fish curry…beautiful food. We hiked the headland and the beach with the seals, did a whale watch tour, drove to hamner springs, highly recommend this lovely stay, the double day bed is the best seat in the house. This is an incredible vacation home...a little hard to find at night but so worth it when you wake up in the morning to a delicious breakfast tray and views of the ocean and snow capped peaks. You can’t beat it. I’m going to tell all my friends about it! The place is upscale and immaculate...so tastefully done. Beautiful bathroom, comfortable bed and cozy living room with fireplace. Exceptional in every way!

My hubby, 2 year old daughter and I had a great stay here! Place was spacious, owners were lovely (very flexible and easy to communicate with as well) and we had so much fun exploring the property! They even had the port-a-cot set up for us! Highly recommend especially for families 🥰

The cabin is small, excellent for 1 couple, is well organised and has everything you need. Its close to shops, tourist scenic attractions and the sea. We strongly recommend the easy walk on the cliffs with stunning views overlooking the sea and a seal colony.
